As a child my mother would make me a very special birthday cake with this pudding mixed slightly different to be used as the frosting. My daughter-in-law had it my 'special cake' about 7 years ago and said it was the best cake she ever had; but since then my mother's health hasn't allowed her to make my cake (plus she had no more pudding). Recently I looked on line & found that I could order it through amazon. I bought it and made my daughter-in-law 'my cake' for a birthday surprise for her -- she loved it!
Quit easy to make. My roommate who is from Salzburg loves it. I am not that fond of Strawberry pudding, that's why only a four from me....She would give it a 5 and has already re-ordered!
This is what I remember as a child. My Oma made it for us. Same pudding, same company, better left as a memory. Great smells, boring taste. I think I will not purchase again.
