The show is smart and awkwardly, yet deliciously, inappropriate. Miss, miss, miss Steve Carell but after a weak season 8, the Office has rebounded with season 9 and will end its run with high marks. Season 8 had its moments but the show seemed rudderless without Michael – Robert California and Nellie were just weird and Andy is no Michael. When it seemed all hope was lost, the show shifts to a more ensemble – no superstar- approach in season 9 which, with Michael gone, really works. With such wonderful characters in Dwight, Jim, Meridith, Stanley, Angela, Kevin, Oscar, Darrell and Phyllis it’s nice to have all the story lines going at once – Nellie fits in much better this year too. Andy and Erin are fine in the mix but are much better in doses than in being the main focus. A little of Andy goes a long way. That shift was a game changer in a good way.

The final season of the Office stands as an example of a show that reached beyond a form of entertainment and became a lasting legacy that transformed American television, for the better, and in the most heartfelt way.

The entire series began well, became amazing, and then somewhere began to stumble, only to catch itself to keep from hitting the ground, ending upright, tall, and with much to be proud of. Few shows will ever hook us the way the Office characters did thanks to the outstanding performances of the best and most devoted ensemble of actors a television show could ever hope for.

The final show speaks for the entire series, and it leaves us with warmth, dignity, and a great deal of heart. Much thanks is due the cast and crew at `The Office' for redeeming the show's original integrity and soul, and for presenting its viewers with a remarkable and unforgettable journey.

Throughout the final season we are saying `goodby' to a show that demonstrated time and again, that the ordinary people make the world go around, and we owe it to ourselves to embrace that marvelous ride and appreciate those whom were destined to share that ride with us.

This season is certainly one that should not be overlooked at any cost. If ever one enjoyed one minute of the series, then this is the season to be sure to see.

As a true testament of the fondness we feel for the entire cast as they moved us to care for them and their stories, they will be dearly missed. Yet they left us on a high note of uplifting proportions and for that, `the Office' will continue to sparkle brightly in our recollections as a true original show, with the echoes of a cherished friend.

I love the show. I can't be respected as an objective reviewer. I have watched every episode. It has been a great escape the day to hubub....I will say this: One of the greatest aspects of this show has been that it has remained as politics-free as can be. In a world where even the cartoons are shoving politics into any open orofice; this show has been such a gift

The office has been my favorite tv show since Senfeld. This show is hilarious and something I always look forward to seeing. Season 9 was no exception as it included all the quirks that I have grown to expect from the office. The only drawback is this is the end of the best tv show on the air. The last two episodes were tear jerkers, but a nice ending to my favorite program.

Loved this series. The ending was perfect. Some people say the show went downhill after Michael left, but it rebounded, I believe, and the last season is a gem.

This show, overall, was one of the last decent sitcoms. Those first six seasons were certainly worth the watch. Pretty much a steady downhill slope from there. This final season was terrible.

Notice that Ryan and Kelly were out of there. They were, by the way, in real life, the main writers and producers of the show from the start. It was really their show. It is obvious that this is so when they leave. We truly feel the absence of their clear vision and consistency when they leave (or were they kicked out?) Regardless, it is painfully obvious that the writing was handed over to studio flunkies who's idea of this program was flat and cliché at best. The characters each lose their substance and the plot becomes something less than interesting. In short, the show falls on its face and never gets up again.

Of course, they should have called it quits after Michael left. Michael was the center of the plot. His arc was the show's arc. Notice that they had also made sure to complete Jim and Pam's arc by then as well, probably because they felt that after Michael left the show would falter and get cancelled.... half right. If they had ended the program there, then I'd put this series in the top ten Sitcoms ever. But they continued on and their standing slipped, and slipped, and slipped..... until this complete turd of an ending.

There were too many new plot elements that we have no feeling for. Too many new characters who are flat replacements meant to span the gap until the season can be called full and the dvd's can look long enough to be called a set.

The fact that the show becomes completely self aware as a "documentary" was not at all satisfying. It ruins the logic we had so delicately accepted all throughout the years.
