I love this book. I am eleven and me and my friend are detectives. We have an organization called the S.S.S. We solve mysteries. This book has helped us SO much in our detective studies. So if you want a gift for a young Nancy Drew lover you need to buy this.

Read this with your daughter - you will get some laughs with her and also teach some nice lessons about preparedness, quick thinking, don't panic but also get a chance to giggle about the silly things like keeping your hair in place while thwarting a kidnapping. For any girl interested in Nancy Drew this is a super, super addition!

I gave this book to my 12 year old niece and minutes later overheard her and her friends giggling away. If want to know how to apply lipstick while engaging in a high-speed car chase, look stylish while digging up dead bodies, or escape from the bad guys without messing up your hair, you'll love this book.

I would totally give this book five stars had the publisher not chosen to use a lighter blue ink color for the text. Very hard to see except in the best light. I would love to have seen it done in black ink so I could enjoy it more. Other than that, it's a great gift for girls "of a certain age" who voraciously read Nancy Drew right through the series when they were young.

I know in the description it said the book was used and for four dollars I wasn't really expecting much. But when I got this I was really pleased. It was in perfect condition and on top of that, this book is kind of hilarious. I bought it for a friend who really loves Nancy Drew and I know she will be really happy with this.

I recently received an e-mail from Amazon.com inviting me to review "The Official Nancy Drew Handbook" and "Nancy Drew's Guide to Life". Actually, I think, it was more of a challenge to explain why a 92-year-old geezer would be buying a couple of books culling bits of wisdom from a popular girls' book series of generations past. The answer is a vision of a serious little girl, reading in a quiet corner about life in simpler times, and self-reliance, and courage. She's the mother of three grown men now, twin grandchildren, contemplating retirement from a lifetime of teaching. She's visiting us next month and I want to surprise her. And hear her laugh.
