I have 4 of these cases and I love them. I tried 3 other brands (also popular on Amazon) but simply decided to use this case for all my Raspberry Pi 3 B+. The main reason is that you can put the case together in a matter of seconds, literally. Some other cases I bought required 10-15 minutes assembly. The fit is perfect. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because there are ways it could be improved. On my wish list: add a fan for ventilation. make the top cover a little higher (2-3mm) to allow more space for cabling the GPIO. On the attached pictures, I have customized the case to add a fan. At the price you can't go wrong. Give it a chance. I am certainly glad I did.

This case is awesome. I own a lot of Pi cases this is my first official case and have to say this thing is perfect. Don't know why I waited so long to get a official case this is much better than all the cheep acrylic cases out there that cost more than this. The Raspberry Pi Foundation hit a home run with this case fits like a glove everything snaps together no need for screws and holds it in place tight with a little see through window for the LED's to be seen. Will be buying more of these when needed.

It is easy to say that this is the best case ever made, but this case does not fit every need, however, it will fit most needs. If your looking for a simple, well-made durable case this is it. Since it was designed by the makers of the Raspberry Pi the fit is perfect.

There are five parts that snap together tightly without the need for any tools. If you’re just using your Pi with a monitor, keyboard and mouse this a nice-looking case to have sitting on your desk. If you’re prototyping, then just pop the top off or the side plate to access the GPIO pins.

The light pipes for the LEDs only line up with a Raspberry Pi 3. The other Pi models will fit into the case, but the LEDs will not be visible.

This case will not work with HATs nor can you put a display on top of it without removing most or all the case. It is mainly designed to be used with jut the Pi or with cables or wires connected through the top or the side.

Overall, this is a great case with a perfect fit, easy to assemble and reassemble while prototyping and it looks great in your workspace!

I really love this case with only two exceptions.
First the good. Good price, modular paneling, led indicator pass through and a perfect fit, perfect. My only two gripes are;
1) I would very much prefer if it had a vent on the top with holes to optionally mount a fan. We all know the RPis get hot.
2) I really would like if it had a flat top.
That’s said I have no regrets buying this case, a few of them actually. It would also be cool if they sold alternate tips for specific add ons, like cameras, screens, etc.

Nervous with reviews but is just like the official case, just dif color and a rounder style top instead of boxy. You cant really stack them if you bought a bunch unless you leave off the white top which then itd be fine. Personally I got this to use for my media center box, love it so far. If you are planning on putting a 3.5" screen in it though this is not the model for you, that should be obvious but just in case you didnt know.

Running HASSIO on a Raspberry Pi currently hidden in a cupboard. After a couple of months running the Pi on top of the cardboard box it arrived in, I decided to house it properly to match my other smart hubs that don't expose the electronics.

There are many cases available, however I went for the official one as I quite liked the colour combinationnof red and white and have been thoroughly impressed with the reliability of the Pi so far.

The Pi 3 is a nice fit inside the case, I disassembled all the panels before putting it in and as I don't believe my pi runs that hot, put all the panels back on again for visuals (despite hiding it in a cupboard). The panels themselves detach easily, but don't feel like they would come off at any time.

The various inputs and outputs on the Pi all have their own cutouts and there are 2 small light outputs from the Pi also. The MicroSD is also accessible from outside the case.

All in all, a great product, nicely thought out, cheap and well built. Good looking and serves a purpose.

Update 05/07.
I've taken the top cover off of the case and seen temperatures drop by 10 degrees on my Pi. Hardly surprising as the box is relatively sealed with all panels on. As it resides in a cupboard for me, no issues and it's hardly seen anyway. I'm happy with the main case shell and the side panels however as it prevents the Pi just sitting on the shelf with no protection.

What a sturdy little case, looking fine in its red and white livery. Almost good enough to eat, but I'm going to put a Raspberry Pi into you. The case disassembles easily, and it is best to take it completely apart to put the board inside. The side panels can then clip back on over the ports, then pop the upper panel on to hold the Pi in place, before fixing the lid back on (although the lid and side panels are easily removed for access to the GPIO and POE pins)

3rd party case makers could learn a thing or two, especially about letting you actually see the on-board LEDs!

Didn't bother with a case for my first two, and whilst it didn't damage the Pi not having one, it certainly damaged my hand on more than one occasion due to some rather nasty sharp connectors on the PCB. Plonked my Pi3 inside of these to keep it more kid-friendly, and it does the job.

The Pi does get slightly warmer in this case if you are maxing it out and it had the heat warning a couple of times, which automatically underclocks the system. But this only seems to be in extreme scenarios where you have all ports in use, maxing CPU and transferring files across at the same time. Once the system was setup, I could watch videos or play retro games on it without issue.

I bought this since the type of cases I used so far only properly support Raspberry Pi 2 / 2B and have no support for the new POE pins and POE HAT.

This one looks nice, correctly supports the new pins and the HAT but alas has no air intake support of any kind.

When closed is airtight (yes, works great for dust and such) so if your Pi gets hot (with the POE HAT it will), it doesn't matter if you have a fan or not.

So, unless you drill some holes in it, beware of that.

The product comes with out instructions, so just beware - when you come to install the Pi in this case you MUST remember to remove the microSD card first. This is easily forgotten as the card is on the bottom on the Pi. I forgot and found it really difficult to fit the Pi into the case. I ended up cracking the SD card (which cost more then the case) so now I've got to get a new one
