it in Italy on the radio. Since then, 20 years have passed. I have heard this great record again now and it gives me the goosebumps.
there's really a story behind each songs. For example, 'Taxi Story' talks about people who have potential and dreams but never achieved them. It's not a judgmental or mocking view of that, Ramazzotti tells of this more as an observer. Or 'Dolce Barbara'.....this song was written by Eros upon request of a poor mom who wrote to him after her daughter disappeared. She asked Eros if he could write a song for her daughter ,which he did. The lirycs are so touching, Eros sings as if he were speaking to the girl. So touching, and the lyrics are really poetic and give me the goosebumps... Even if you don't understand Italian, it's still emotional and great songwriting from Ramazzotti. Don't listen to stupid, meaningless 'critics' such as those by Allmusic, who gave the record 3 stars. This is a 5 stars record, not a 3 stars record. I myself have been a serious musician for years, and I know a 3 stars record from a 5 stars. Critics are usually not musicians, they are just like bitching and moaning, no matter how good something is. They don't understand the messages and the artistic quality in this record. because of their superficial understanding and lack of musical skill. Go check out 'se bastasse una canzone' on youtube official video on the Ramazzotti channel, you'll see how critics are full of stupid crap
