From the Publisher
"Old Man New Man" is more than just a book. By purchasing this book, you can also receive a free one-year subscription to New Man magazine by returning it's enclosed card.
Now, the book becomes interactive through the Internet. In the text there are icons that list the web address and some area being dealt with such as "Find Help For Sexual Addictions." It is an indication there is something on the website about what is being discussed in the chapter. Think of it as a print version of a hyperlink. You will be able to access much more information than we were able to cram into the 337 pages of this book. A NOTE TO ANY WOMEN READERS:
This is a book for men. It is NOT a book for women. That is not to say some women will not read the book anyway. You may be one of them. But be forewarned; 'men look at things differently than women do.' They process things differently.
The problem is that many men struggle with some very serious issues. They have no one to talk to or to show the way. They struggle in silence until one day they snap and do something really weird like abusing the ones they love or even abandoning the family altogether.
Would it not be good if we could help those men before it's too late?
No book has all the answers. But I hope this book will give men a few answers to point them to Jesus. I have tried to make clear that there is a life in God where there is victory over what the Bible calls the "old man."
This book is written to men from a male perspective to offer hope.
So, woman reader, please remember this: If this book helps the men in your life, then ultimately it will also be of great help to you in your relationships with those men.

The author also states toward the begining of the book that he believes that if one has a contiuing physical problem i.e illness etc.. that does not go away after much prayer and fasting etc.. they are possesed by a demon. If this is true then paul, the writer of much of the new testament, was possesd as he had an eye problem.
Finally, I felt the book in parts was more of a platform for advertising strang communications and the books he has published.
Another theological misstep was the comment that Christ was going to build His church on peter. Jesus meant He would build the church upon Himself, not a mear man such as peter. Perhaps the author should have spent more time studying his greek and less time worrying about his physicalness.
