About the Author
Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921) was an American lawyer, pastor, Bible teacher and author. A defender of dispensational premillennialism, he is best known for his Scofield Reference Bible. Founded the Central American Mission, and with L. S. Chafer the Philadelphia College of the Bible. He was D. L. Moody's pastor at Northfield during the final years of Moody's life.
Arthur Tappan Pierson (18371911), was an American Presbyterian pastor with a wide and varied transatlantic ministry that made him famous in Scotland and England. This pioneer of fundamentalism preached over 13,000 sermons in his lifetime, delivered Bible lectures in venues like Moody Bible Institute, and penned over fifty books. He served as a consulting editor for the original Scofield Reference Bible (1909) for his friend, C. I. Scofield and counted as friends such men as D. L. Moody, George Mller, Adoniram Judson Gordon, and C. H. Spurgeon (whom he succeeded in the pulpit of the Metropolitan Tabernacle, London). --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Another thing Amazon, I took pictures of the box the Bible came in describing it as a Bonded Leather bible, and the top of this web page showing the "Leather Bound" description. How come I can't figure out how to post the pictures so folks can see what's what.
UPDATE. Well I finally figured out how to post pictures but some kinda glitch won't allow me to add notes to the photos and one of the pictures would not allow me to add a caption. Go figure?
I highly recommend that you start with the Scofield Classic edition and if you have a little extra cash, get the new version for comparison. In this case, the old is better than the new.
