About the Author

Despite a rural upbringing, Joe was raised in a very liberal home environment and was exposed at an early age to the classic underground comic book scene of the sixties and seventies, as well as European graphic novels by artists like Moebius, Enki Bilal and Milo Manara. At age 9, he was reading Tolkien and Stephen King. He wrote his first novella at age 10. After a brief stint pencilling underground horror comics in his twenties, Joe settled down, got married, had kids and opened his own business. Fast forward fifteen years, and the Kindle e-reader made its debut. Realizing he could bypass the gatekeepers of traditional publishing, Joe started his novel The Oldest Living Vampire Tells All. Feeling a little insecure of his writing skills, he published it under the pen name Rod Redux. It was a surprising success. It, and the books that followed, Menace of Club Mephistopheles and Mort, sold so well Joe was able to close his business and devote himself full time to writing. Proud to be an indie author, Joe turned down a publishing contract with a traditional publishing house, although he has sold the foreign rights to a mainstream publisher overseas. He has recently abandoned his pen name and is rereleasing his titles under his real name. If you would like to contact Mr. Duncan, you may do so at cobraebooks@gmail.com. Let me start by saying I have read almost every vampire book Amazon has for the Kindle, most of them were very good. I especially like the series. I thought I had favorite Vampire writers untill I read books one and two of The longest Living Vampire. Rodd Reduxxx, an exceptional writer, is now my favorite. His story is easy to follow, he has the ability to make you love a character that causes many horrible deaths. Gon(the longest living vampire) is a caring and loving man/vampire, he has a normal life before he's horribly, painfuly turned, as normal a life can be 30,000 years ago. He is so caring and protective of his human family.
In book two Gon travels with a teenage boy whose family are all killed. Gon becomes his teacher and father figure and treats the child with love and respect. There is blood, gore and killing in this book also, but it's necessary for their survival.
Another excellent offering from Rodd Reduxxx.
There will be three more books released in 2011 and 2012, belive me they will be worth the wait. I hope every one will read these books, you'll be glad you did. Nancy O

Book two of the Oldest living Vampire was thrilling and interesting. I am very happy Mr. Reduxx decided to continue the series and evolve the story of Gon. This book is like Sin City meeting the Vampire version of Conan. This is truly an adult Vampire novel and not for people who like to read about teenage Vampire romance. If you looking to evolve from the love story teenage Vampire reader into a hardcore Vampire horror reader then this book is for you. Bravo to Mr. Reduxx another terrific novel.

This is the 2nd story in the series with several more books due over the next year or 2... a must read for any vampire addict! I, too, read all things vampire on my Kindle and found Rod's 1st "Oldest Living Vampire" book during a dry spell last summer. I fell in love with Gon's story and Rod's storytelling ability. Rod's writing is fantastic... very easy to read and hard to put down. The story flows smoothly and keeps your attention. In case you are not familiar with the story, Gon is an ancient vampire. His life was stolen from him in pre-historic times and he lost his entire family... In this sequel, he finds a new "son" and raises him. Tragedy seems to follow Gon... some by his own making, and his new son has finally brought him some happiness. As for the sex and violence... there's plenty of it and it only adds to the story. I can't imagine someone wanting to read a vampire novel that has neither. Gon is a fantastic creature of the night. Evil, yet somehow endearing. I'll never buy duct tape without thinking of vampires again! Buy the book!! And if you haven't read Book 1, do so. It's a real adventure! Oh... since I have become quite a fan of Rod's, I have read his other books and they are also great. "Mort" is fantastic if you like vampires and/or zombies... definately a "must read"! Note to Rod: more writing... less working!

I love vampire books, and I love these. OK, so this one is a little repetitive, but not in a bad way, just wish instead of re-telling, more action. However, I was so drawn in by the difference of these books that when the first one was over I immediately started on the second. I felt thirsty for more (hmm, maybe that blood lust is catching). These books might not be for the fans of "softer" vampire series, but I found them exciting and hard to put down...ROD, I need MORE!

Oh, man - I don't care what you think you know about vampires or what vampire series you've previously read - anyone who really thinks they've heard them all doesn't know Gon, the oldest living vampire.

I absolutely LOVE this vampire! He is nothing like the primadonna vampires that have been oversensationalized in other series. Boasting to be the oldest living vampire at 30,000 years old, he can afford to play it down and dirty without shame. He is a monster and knows it. While other vampires are fighting werewolves for territory or, worse, the love of a human soulmate - Gon was playing house with neanderthals and fighting disgusting tribes of cannibals.

I swore I would never read another vampire story again because I was tired of all of the cliche wars between vampires, witches, and, of course, werewolves. This genre needed something fresh and Mr. Duncan does that with his tale of Gon, a paleolithic hunter-gatherer who gets turned into a blood drinker after a fateful meeting with the blood fiend from the first book ( I won't go into detail here for those who have not read it, although if you're wanting to read this you should have read that one already even if it is my opinion that this book is one of the few serials that you probably could read in any order and still enjoy it.).

In this installment, Gon really is out on the prowl and comes across an evil in progress and decides on the spot to exact his own form of justice. But after 30,000 years, our Gon is a lonely vampire and sees an opportunity to play with his prey like a cat with its dinner. A bored Gon decides to humor the man with a story that picks up after the ice age where he wakes up to learn that all of his family is finally gone.
