I have no bad comments for this product at all. For an inexpensive vise this works precisely as I'd hoped it would. I saw some comments asking about "how far does it open", well I've attached images for clarity.

Threaded rod broke..waste of money.

Not that great of a vise. It is difficult to turn (I could live with that), the lock to keep the base from rotating didn't hold it once you started to actually use a vise as a vise and the little handle just bends if you actually want to try and tighten it. What really broke the camels back (or vise in the case) was when the threaded rod snapped when tightening it under my own strength on the handle. Didn't even have to use a hammer to break it. Cheap for a reason I guess. Waste of money.

The jaws don't line up straight
It is not smooth and my screw doesn't seem to be completely straight, it has kind of a small circle instead of a stationary spin, some heavy grease helped with all the moving parts.
All this being said id still recommend this product for the price. It's a big chunk of metal that holds s***, I've used it for its intended purpose and i bought it expecting it to be a budget item and break relatively soon. It hasn't yet.
Plus i could of spent the 21 dollars on seeing a s***ty movie that i would of regret, I don't regret this.
