Natalie knows well that being a woman in the military in any form means taking second to the men surrounding her, never more prevalent than when she was looked over for a promotion. To make things worse the man offered the job she should have had was none other than the man she loved; so she did the only thing she thought she could - she ran from that life. Never expecting to find Dixon overseas working the same op she is.
Dixon can't believe who he's seeing while undercover, even more they are supposed to team up on this mission. Dixon doesn't understand the heartbreak Natalie wrought on him, but he hasn't forgotten it nor have his feelings changed, though he wished they would.
As they work through the case together trying to solve the disappearances, they also discuss their past and that which separated them. As their investigation comes to a head so do their lingering feelings and when it comes down to it these two discover that no matter their differences they can't hold back.
As with all stories in the Base Branch Series, Furiously Mine brings the suspense, while also adding emotions to the forefront of our hero and heroine. They've got to work together, not just to survive the mission but to overcome their past and find the happiness they should have had all along.

it was amazing
Not very long but good just the same, action and suspense throughout and a hot and steamy physical chapter. Though I have read all the Base Branch series I hadn't read any of the Omega Team books, but that didn't interfere with my enjoyment of this story. I loved the K-9 dog in this, having been abused in the past learning to trust again was hard for him but the two humans were understanding and patient, giving him the time he needed. Fast pace and great flow means you finish this before you feel you started reading it and I would have been more than content to have more.

Great story in the Base Branch series. Quick read with a good story line. Natalie and Dixon were hot together.
