Rebecca knows in her heart what she really wants. Unfortunately, she also knows that her dad will disown her if she strays from the path he has laid out for her. Her father's wishes of her taking over his law firm, however, are far from what she wants. She's tired of being Rebecca, the daughter who so willingly does as she's told. Deep down, she know's she can be Becca, the woman who can take care of herself, the woman who isn't driven by material things, the woman who wants to write. But can she take care of herself once her dad cuts her off?
Jonathan is mere days from taking his final vow and becoming a priest when he sees Rebecca sitting in a ray of light. The chemistry between the two is obvious from the start, but their union doesn't come so easy. I loved the way M.S. Kaye slowly brought these two together. They both needed time to find themselves. The way they both do that is emotional and beautiful at the same time. The story within the story is quite touching as well. Loved it!
Once by M.S. Kaye is a New Adult Contemporary Story about two people spending a day off their real lives on a train.
Jonathan and Rebecca keep seeming to run into each other on the train, until they meet up once too many times, and the encounter changes their lives.
I picked this up, and 6 hours later, lay my reader down while wiping my tears for the umpteenth time, smiling, and unable to wait for more of the story.
Solid 5-star read.
