Seldom will you ever meet someone so vulnerable, loving, and determined.
Her story - her journey - will affect you deeply. You will change as you read this.
You will catch some of fierce determination, love, and truth telling.
And you will understand, feel and know the love of God for all of us with greater clarity and certainty.
You will be touched with the gifts of the writer, and you will be at least somewhat transformed.
If you are willing to receive, embrace, dare and love greatly with God’s love - you can even be greatly transformed.
I find myself astounded to write such strong words, to make so clear the promises hidden inside this book. Yet I stand by it all, and am glad for those of you that read this and that allow yourself to be touched and molded deeply.
Get to know her better. Let her words touch and minister to you. Be glad that you read this and that you get to share in her amazing journey.
It is hard to imagine the pain of the journey from a child’s perspective, but Cindy tells this story in an inspired and holy way -- from the “other side of the rainbow…” She looks at the journey from a perspective of love and grace, and perhaps from the eyes of a loving grandmother and mother who walks road of remembrance fully embracing the little child who shook with fear and loneliness. Her story of determination and overcoming and forgiveness is truly a testament to God’s presence through all of our journeys.
Be prepared to walk the journey with her uninterrupted, because, when you start the journey, you won’t want to put the book down until you reach the other side of the rainbow.
As a survivor of child abuse, I found this book to be a sensitive writing showing Cindy's life gradually unfolding as she became aware of who she was and why she had the reactions she had. Her book showed that she is a resilient woman of great faith. Cindy remained foccused on her evolving understanding of herself mentioning but not detailing the abuses she experienced --- which would have changed the purpose of the book.
I found this book to be very validating.
