This is wonderful holiday novella by Cathy MacRae. It is also in the analogy “Once Upon a Christmas Kiss” released earlier this month. An excellent way to to get in the Christmas and holiday spirit. A fast paced, page turning, riveting, romantic, adventure, filled with all the elements Scottish historical readers enjoy.
Disclaimer: I received an advance readers (gift) copy from the author for a fair and honest review. I voluntarily agreed to read, review and blog. All words, ideas and thoughts are my own.***

Mhairi Burns has to run from home with her ill Mother and get to her Grandfather's house as men have attacked the keep in the dead of night. Fenella Burns makes it to her father's, but sadly enough doesn't live for long. Now Mhairi has just found out that she is bound to a man twice her age in exchange for the price of her Uncles ransom which her grandfather cannot afford. She is desperate to avoid being married to her intended. So desperate that after her grandfather has a stroke she leaves in a snow storm hoping to find a brooch that once belonged to her Mother and rumored to be the answer to her prayers. It may be the season for peace and goodwill, but her uncle will die at the hands of the English if she can't rescue him and pay the outrageous ransom by the end of Yuletide.
Michaell Kerr has loved Mhairi since they were children and he fostered with her family. Now he has discovered that Mhairi's grandfather has betrothed her to another man and it doesn't give him much time to find a way to break the betrothal and save her uncle before it's too late.
Will Mhairi and Michaell recieve their greatest wish this Yuletide? Will all of their dreams come true?
Cathy MacRae brings you a magnificent Yuletide tale that will warm your heart and make you smile. This is definitely a novella worth reading.
