The story is not typical Christmas fare, but it is more real than many of the idylic Christmas movies. It is a tribute to the truth that many people struggle 365 days a year--their imperfections not taking a holiday.
Anyone who enjoys the talents of Winkler/Hepburn will enjoy this film; it is not stellar, not is not neccesarily their best performance, but it is a nice piece of "reality Christmas", if you will.
Katherine Hepburn marvellous, as always, although sad to see such a wonderful actress with her obviously progressed Parkinson's Disease. Despite her golden years and P.D., she remains consistent in touching the viewer's heart and making her character's statements/feelings as clear as always. She, for me, is the highlight of the movie. The young actor who plays the boy in this movie is also entertaining, however, felt that Henry Winkler was disappointing in his role. Still, an OK sort of movie, but would not buy it again - except perhaps for Katherine Hepburn's scenes.
On my part, kudos to Katharine, Swoozie and Julie!

Good Truman Capote story. See very little of Hepburn in this one. Winkler was very good as was the boy.Published 16 days ago by Amazon Customer
