Junk, dull, does not work, defective!

Wow, this has to be the worse eyelet setter set/tool I ever purchased. the larger hold punch can't even got through one thin layer of fabric or paper. The second size one is deformed and has extra metal pieces sticking out from it. I did give it a chance and tried the largest size setter and didn't finished a job of one eyelet. It crushed the first and split the second. however it did scrapped off black paint from the bit. I honestly dont think they meant for you to actually use these tools when they made them. This is overall worse and any hand held setter I have. Sadly my Dritz blue pliers that is more than 10+ years work better than this set. it even handle gripper snaps and eyelet, only missing is punching the holes.

Shattered after one tap.

I set one eyelet and that worked okay, but after giving one of the punches a single tap the tip shattered! See photo. I bought this cheap thing because I figured I was only going to use it occasionally, it's not like I'm doing heavy production... I definitely expected more than a single use though.

The hole punches don't work well, they are dull. One of them won't thread onto the bar. I guess I can try to sharpen it while holding it with a set of pliers, but the problem is this hole punch bit will always be defective. For the price, it's not worth my time to return, do you want the hassle? I suppose I will be able to set a few eyelets between now and when I get a real eyelet setter. This is not going to get a place in my tool case, it's going in a junk drawer.

The handle works well with all 8 heads (half for punching holes in material, half for compressing eyelets). I especially like how it will work with diameters of as small as 2mm for eyelet installation. A tool to perform that action is much harder to find than eyelets that size. It goes into my toolbox for some very key work.

The set is nice, I like the variety of sizes, which is why I ordered it. It would be really nice if the pieces were marked what size they are. The pieces also start to unscrew as you use them so I was doing frequent tightening. But over all, it's a decent set and got done what I needed.

I am glad that i bought the cheapest set that i could find. I am assuming that these are just as good as a name brand set. There just a couple things that bug me about them, though. When you punch holes in the paper, the "chads" stay in the punch. When setting eyelets, the paint cracks off the back of the eyelet where you are applying pressure. AND one of the main things that bugs me is that the packaging is not resealable or a "case" type package. The plastic tray was not sealed to the cardboard fully when I got it, but it it is super challenging to keep all the little tips together. I am stapling the plastic tray back to the cardboard backing until a better situation is thought of...lol

My 4 mm punch too small for tool.

The 4 mm punch does not screw into the tool -- it's too small. All the other pieces fit just fine. This is rather irritating, since that was pretty much the only reason I bought it. I think it'll still work, just not as well or convenient.
