About the Author

Kelly Rae is mom to an amazing young man. Everything else is just a way to keep busy between laughs with her son, or a way to pay for his sports equipment and growing feet. When she was twelve years old, she hit the big leagues by winning a Young Authors Award (okay, okay, it was only within her school district. Shh.) Although she has been unable to duplicate this success in her adult writing, she is giving it her best shot. Kelly, her son, and their chocolate lab, live in the Pacific Northwest where they enjoy the sun when it shines and the snow when it falls. When they aren't dancing in the rain or singing at the top of their lungs in the car, they are planning their dream vacations...which they might even get to take some day.

This series of novellas follows the romantic adventures of four main characters. These were good stories, but I think they would have been much better as one book, or perhaps two novellas. The reason I felt this way is that big sections of each novella were retelling the same parts of a story from the perspective of a different character. The repeat dialogue made it somewhat difficult for me to stay focused at points and even harder to avoid the temptation to skim through them, especially near the end. As a complete work, I gave this book 3 stars. Normally, I like to review each story in a collection separately. In this case, I am grouping some of them by couple.

Once Upon a Wedding and Every Other Wedding are Cassie and Dan’s story. Cassie is tired of being the only single woman among her friends, especially when they are all getting married. Dan had a crush on Cassie in high school, but he was much too shy to make a move. This story begins with Cassie running into Dan at a wedding. Dan has gone from awkward to hot since the last time she saw him, and Cassie definitely likes what she sees. It takes Dan and Cassie four weddings to move forward with a relationship, and I had trouble connecting to them as a couple. In the novella told from Cassie’s perspective, I only saw Dan as a guy she found attractive. There was not enough depth, and no real chemistry. The story told from Dan’s perspective helped bring this together more for me. Thad and Cassie were another story. I love the best friend relationship and all of their interactions, both from Cassie’s perspective and from Dan’s. I gave this one 3 stars because it was just hard for me to bond with anyone other than Thad in these books.

Anything but a Wedding and Not One More Wedding tell Thad and Brianna’s story.

Book 3 Anything But a Wedding

Book 4 Not One More Wedding

Brianna's POV. After what happened in college. Brianna has trouble trusting men. So it is easier if she uses them and move on. Until Thad. But how can she trust the biggest player of them all.

Wonderful series of books. Each book was the others POV. Loved Cassie and Dan. they has the sweetest courtship. It just fit their personalities perfectly. Thad and Brianna were both players but quite honest about where they stood and what they wanted.

One Day at a Wedding Series by Kelly Rae is all four books telling the story of four people’s chance in falling in love.

Once Upon a Wedding is the first book in the series. Cassie Anderson is a sweet and kind hearted woman who also happens to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. When she attends her high school friends’ wedding, she runs into Dan Simmons. He was once a small average boy she barely knew in high school, but is now someone she can’t take her eye off. The problem is that every time they run into each other, it’s never the right timing for either of them. But hopefully one of these encounters can bring them together in the way she really wants. With her best friend, Thad, there to help her along the way, she knows she can get through anything.

Every Other Wedding is the second book in Kelly Rae’s series and tell the story of Dan Simmons and the girl he has always cared for since he meet her in high school. Dan is not the shy and unconfident boy that he used to be, but when he reconnects with Cassie, that immediate connection they share makes him feel giddy like a kid again. Unfortunately, Dan has a lot going on in his life, and can’t be with Cassie until he figures it all out. He knows Cassie is his one and he wants to see where things go, but he just hope she can be patient with him until he works everything out.

Anything but a Wedding is the third book of the series. Thaddeus Carlmont is best friends with Cassie and no one understands their relationship. Cassie is the most amazing woman Thad has ever known, but cares for her so deeply that being in a relationship would only mess them up.
