We all know what goals are but, they have been talke dbaout so much that the word kas lost its meaning. In "The #1 Goal", the author does a superb job of giving meaning back to Goal Setting. But instead of just setting a goal and leaving it at that, Thibaud takes us by the hand and walks readers through the complete experience of what it means to:
— set a goal
— create a plan for working it
— reviewing your goals
— rewarding yourself for achieving it
What I like are the strategies designed to motivate, encourage and ultimately, get you to take action. For exmple:
— Think of your goal as often as possible
— Look at your goal as often as possible
— Create daily habits to support your goal
— Redesign your environment
— Dealing with negative people that hold you back
— Creating a morning ritual
As the author states: "If you ever failed to achieve your goals in the past, The One Goal will provide you with the exact blueprint you need to achieve any goal for the rest of your life."
This is a step-by-step blueprint to do exactly that. You will start working on your goal, immerse yourself into the work, and then, after committing to your plan, achieve what you initially thought was impossible.
The bottom line is, I have read and tried a lot of books on goal setting. This is the only book I need now to get things done.
