i would NOT recommend this book.directions are poor at best to understand and not much of them and the pictures are of no help not much of them either.the projects are out of date as in ruffled collar, princess collar, rosette belt.and patterns must be enlarged. i'm very very disappointed in this book. pictures of all projects should be posted as well as at least one project page of directions.

i opened this book with such enthusiasm. on a postiive note the pictures are really fresh. but it is as if the author is trying to make up for the poor quality of the project by taking good photographs. the ideas are pretty 'young' and that is fine but two bikinsi?? my main frustration was with the fabric collars. the princess one was lovely and the blurb introducing the projects is really great. you get the feeling that it was written by someone else though, as the quality of the writing is not reflected in the makes. the very worst thing about the book is the pretty terrible instructions. the photos, although pretty do not match up the actual instructions. i literally could not tell that the collar had two frills from the photo, one side of the fabirc collar is even obscured by some dried floweres. very odd. the directions 'attach to upper lowerer edge' were so unbelievably incoherant i had to go to a sewing cafe to get help. i found them utterly frustrating. at the end of the day pretty or not, you want to be able to make this stuff. with regard to the bag, really nice fabric and pictures, but where does it say or indicate in the pictures that the bag is lined! i lost confidence at the collar but when i saw the bag i cheered up a bit, however the poor directions put me off entirely. sorry lena. i love the pictures but the execution was very rough and studenty and the instructions so patchy, it all comes across as being a bit lazy.
