Editorial Reviews

Dating from 1984 and originally on the Liberate label, this was the Varukers' second studio album, now available on vinyl again for the first time. This is where the band got the most aggressive in their music, with more metallic riffs and thrashy inserts, though not too different from the out-of-control hardcore fury of their early years, and keeping their political message loud and clear: "Human Freedom, Animal Rights, It's One Struggle, It's One Fight." Pure Brit hardcore punk mayhem!

One Struggle One Fight is one hell of an album. I actually liked it better than Bloodsuckers (which in CD format is not by itself, If you want to know where to get it, get either the Riot City Years or Bloodsuckers and Prepare for the attack). This is where the band was getting very aggressive in their music. 4 of the best songs are both versions of Stop the Killing, A Lesson We Must Never Forget, and the title track, which the only lyrics are: "Human Freedom, Animal Rights, It's One Struggle, It's One Fight." that's it. Seriously, if you are new to the band or never heard of them and want to try a listen, this is the album to get or give it a spin first.

This is the reissue of the album of the same titled released in 1985. The Varukers were never a diverse band , and they weren't catchy either but could pound and thrash some hardcore punk into the veins of anyone daring to listen. However the songs on this album sound pretty much exactly the same , and it gets very boring and there is no difference in any of the tracks because the exact same chord progressions are used track after track. But if you want something just to thrash around to then get this...just don't expect much diversity or a song that will stick in your head afterwards
