Editorial Reviews

Review

"I simply galloped through this book it was so engaging, hilarious andnostalgic, all in perfect measure. It reminds me of myyouth, although I'm not over the hill just yet! When naivety, charm andin Carol's case outright honesty were all forgiven when you flashed agoofy smile.
I can't recommend this book highly enough for a feel good, funny read written by a very talented writer." - Amazon reviewer

"
One Summer in France is one of those books of reminiscence that rewards the reader on so many counts. It comes across like a novel but isobviously an accurate first-hand recollection as well. It was writtenrecently as a prequel to the very successful Bunny on a Bike butavoids the mistake of applying mature `wisdom' to the experiences ofjust post-teen years. It is, as a result, modern, funny, occasionallyoutrageous, atmospheric, nicely descriptive and very fast-moving." - Amazon reviewer

About the Author

I started writing stories when I was a child, reading them to mysisters, who were generally quite demanding, wanting to know whathappened next.  They didn't like the idea of a cliffhanger!

Atschool I soon realised that I wanted to specialise in literature andlanguages, which I went on to study at Keele university.  Followingthat, I went on to do a PGCE at Queens' College Cambridge and took upteaching posts in Greece, Seychelles and finally at Anglia RuskinUniversity in Cambridge.

Five years' later, I moved to Francewith my husband and two youngest children, where I am lucky enough to be able to write every day.

I have six ebooks on Amazon and acouple in paperback.  I have a number of works in progress, the next one to be published will be a collection of short stories.  I already haveone short story on Amazon which has been very well received ('Angels' - a metaphysical horror story by B A Spicer).

I write in manygenres, including humour, mystery, psychological drama and sciencefiction, but always with an eye for detail and a desire to createbelievable and complex characters.
