He knew that Rogue was his mate the instant he scented her lemony and sweet essence. But that knowledge was intensified when he finally met his mate.
Rogue Kendall, a thief and a spy had everything under control and was on her way to retirement at the age of 30. Well all that changed when the sexy as sin cop, Mac Niles waltzed into her life and turned her world on its axis.
She was one of the ONE TRUE MATES, she always yearned to have a big family now she had sisters and she she wary about the changes that was happening. Rogue feared she could lose it all in a blink of an eye if she let herself believe in HEA. Well Mac wasn't about to let her push him away now that he has found her.
The fact that both Mac and Rogue had been thinking about each other was well done. Those two didn't know what fate had in store for them when they met years prior. In spite of Rogue trying to push Mac away, the latter didn't let her. And when she found herself in peril Mac moved heaven and earth to rescue her.
Loved the bromance or should I say bearmance between Mac and Bruin. The latter was a mystery I can't wait to learn more about. Looking forward to his story soon.
Khain and his minions are trying to stop the the one true mates from coming together but they are underestimating the pull the connected hearts have. Love always prevails.
SHIFTER'S ROGUE is the fifth installment in Lisa Ladew's ONE TRUE MATE series. It was humorous, emotional, breathtakingly alluring and oh so irresistible. Lisa Ladew kept me glued to my seat from start to finish. Two thumbs up and a recommendation for you all to grab yourselves a copy.

Ms. Lisa has another Oscar that's for sure. I am really have a hard time with this review there is so much going on and I want to tell you bits and pieces BUT I hate spoilers big time so I'd write something and erase it cuz it's TMI and start over again... So I think I'll make it short... KNOW this the series is phenomenal each book is better than last. I knew Mac would be a hard character to write but Ms. Lisa has done it with class .....
Rogue Kendall is half angel, she has made her living as a thief, she's very good, regular little Ms. Robinhood, taking from the rich. But someone is watching her, she knows things like this, it's how she's stays out of jail, saving her own life, she can feel things. Soon she could retire, she hoped, going back to her family home in Serenity, she still needed a little more money actually a lot more.
Macalister Niles aka: Mac is a Wolfen who has virtually no friends, everyone wants to stay away from him. Hell all he want is to beat the crap out of anyone who looked at him wrong. All but one person (well maybe he'd beat him up too), his partner in crime, Bruin who is a Grizzly Bear Shifter who calls him "Mac Attack". Gosh he drives Mac crazy, no matter what Mac say or how Mac treats Bruin he smiles and sticks to Mac like glue. Mac's in charge of the "Rut" it's in a few days, he needs more girls. One whole night, one warehouse, girls galore, many from the station achieving their happiness. Than Bruin goes into a trans and Mac's life changes, everything he's ever known is now gone.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

it was amazing
I actually felt sorry for Mac in this story, I know he is a bit of a hothead when it comes to the others and his temper is a bit short but I think from previous books it is obviously due to his past. Losing his sister was a massive blow and he hasn't ever completely got past it. But honestly him trying to not just find Rogue but get her to give him a chance she hurts him, I wanted to scream at her. Yes I know she hasn't had it easy and has her own loss to think about, but she is attracted to Mac so why fight quite so hard to get away and be so bitchy? of course I understand that is part of the story and making Mac work for it but it still made me mad. There are so many twists and turns in this book in particular you have no0 time to get bored, or for the series to start stagnating as it possibly could at this stage. It continually moves onwards towards whatever is building, plenty of action especially in this book, it is feisty and full of drama. I have one more before I then have to wait for the release of book 7 and I feel that will be hard, I just want to keep going until the series is finished. I am loving the relationship with Mac and Bruin though, their friendship is something I feel is important not only to the two of them but to their mates as they find them. A very strong bond is forging that will play a large part in future events, but I also feel it is important for these individual characters as well since neither of them have much in the way of family or close friends. Lisa is doing a fantastic job with the series as a whole as well as each book and I am loving each and every one.
