I was shocked at the little respect she had for herself. She immediately had relations with him that felt wrong. He ignored her for most of the book. Just the night before the grand gesture he ignored her at an event. I had no idea why she even said yes.
I guess I was just stunned at the emotional and physical disconnect. I never felt like these two should be a couple. There was no passion, liking or even common ground other than the baby with these two.
I got it for free so at least I am not out any money but it will be deleted from my kindle.
Lena was a sweetheart, but one of the worst doormats I have ever read. I was shocked at the little respect she had for herself, really...what else could turn her into such a idiot. Brice treated her with such indifference it was almost too painful to even read at times..
I mean, really.....Where was there supposed to be this great love connection between these two, because I sure never saw it.
As much as it pains me to say this; I'd give this story a pass, it's not really all that good.
I DNF, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time with the half of the book that I forced myself to read.
I wouldn't read another book by the author.
I would not recommend this book, nor the author to anyone.
I'm being generous by giving the book 2 stars. I'm sorry. I just didn't like it.
