About the Author
Eugenia Dallas born Ukraine 1925 to a family of farmers against the Bolchevik communists. Survived genocide in 1932-1933. Left alone to survive at the age of 6 when parents were arrested and sent to Siberia never to return. Deported by the Nazi's to work in ammunition factories. After WW II, drifted with the Italian prisoners of war without any documentaion found herself as a showgirl in Italy and then later became a successful fashion model. Living illegally in Italy was forced to leave. Accepted as a political refugee immigrant to the United States. Married in Dallas Texas to Charles Elson. One son, Gene Peter Elson who now resides in Denver Colorado. Divorced and moved in 1961 after open heart surgery to Los Angeles. Eugenia paints and activly is involed in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Currently working to share her story with others as a guest speaker.
