The iconic Mexico 66 was born in 1966 and debuted at the 1968 Olympic games pre-trials in Mexico with a premium white leather, stitched with red and blue tiger stripes. Today, the classic runner has been reawakened and remains to be the most popular shoe in the Onitsuka Tiger collection.
Since 1949, Onitsuka Tiger has created stylish sports products inspired by the Japanese values of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Through their crafts, Onitsuka Tiger brings together East and West, and demonstrates what it means to be "Made of Japan."

Just putting them on to break them in, I knew-- these shoes rock. I can see why Bruce Lee wore them, and I'm speaking as someone with almost-flat feet who feels most comfortable on my heels and "balls" near my toes. They are very lightweight, plus the look and feel is amazing. I will not be putting this shoe through anything more than travel and walking/running, but I imagine if you were careful this shoe could handle a lot more. The mesh is not the thin pliable stuff that I've seen used in other shoes/clothing; it has an industrial feel to it (sturdy.)
Walking and Running is like gliding, and support posture well. I'm debating just getting a pair to wear for the house to eventually use when my mesh ones see more wear. I'm not a big fan of vans, converse, or nikes. These are probably the best shoes I've ever bought in my life. Those who doubt Indonesians crafting Japanese designs: have no fear: they feel professionally made with many intricacies intact.
Here's the trick with the Onitsuka sizing for me. Ninety percent of the time, I'm an 11, of European 44 or 44.5 (but in Converse Chucks I'm a 10 and a half). So, with the Onitsuka's across the board, if I'm buying a smooth, leather shoe, I go a half-size down - 10 1/2. If buying an Onitsuka shoe in suede, canvas or any other type of material, I buy the 11.
Weird, I know, but it works.
Since I got my first pair in a store I knew the right size to get. Most people are saying to go half a size up but for me 10 is my normal shoe size and these in size 10 fit me just right. If you aren't sure I'd find a pair in the store (any pair from the Onitsuka Tiger brand would do, they should all fit the same), figure out the right size, and then buy the ones you really want online.
As a reference, I wear a women's 8.5 very consistently and ordered a 7 men's. My feet are normal to very slightly narrow in width.
