This album is loaded with RZA's finest production moments, as he samples a barrage of kung-fu flick sound bites, plays discordant keyboards on "Incarcerated Scarfaces," and utilizes some eerie female vocals on "Rainy Dayz." What more can be said about this classic album! Most underrated album of all time, very gritty and
Street life subject matter, but if you grew up in NYC around the time this album came out you would completely relate to all of it! When the Wu speaks people should listen. They have fun and drop serious knowledge! Cd came perfect, no issues, I bought it just to have it, already had album on my iTunes etc, it's just that much of a classic. If you are an aspiring rapper or avid rap music fan and you never heard this album you should just give up now!

If I have to explain this record or let you know how good it is then you probably were born 1995 and after because this is arguably one of the best rap albums ever made, besides Liquid swords and Enter the 36 chambers . RZA produced beats during Wutang's era of perfection (First 6-7 records) Enter the 36, Liquid Swords, Cuban Linx, Tical, Supreme Clientele, Iron Man and Wutang Forever all were the peak of beat master RZA's arsenal of perfection. This is a Wu banger that's a must have! Suuuuuu!!!!

As the respective members broke out under their own names, it soon became apparent that the boys each needed space to harness their abilities. Enter Raekwon with this mind-blowing effort - the lesser recognised genius in the clan. Overshadowed by The Rza, Method Man. Ghostface and (of course) ODB, this album showcased the talents of Raekwon in all his (previously) understated glory.

The 2 LP's come on thick vinyl that really help capture the sound. I highly recommend despite the slightly higher price point!

First of all I hate hipsters lol Just because it is a classic doesn't mean you have to against the grain and award the album with one star. Truth be told I've always heard a song here and there from this album but never got to listen to it fully through until 07. I was 9 years old when this was released and 21 when I bought it and let it play all the way through. Classic. Rae and Rza constructed a masterpiece. It felt like I was listening to a movie. Ghostface as usual drops dope verses as he co starts in this classic LP. The chef's lyrical performance was strong and innovated. I kick myself for getting on only built 4 Cuban linx so late but ish happens. Check it out for any real hip hop lover.

This a must have album for any hiphop fan. Unfortunately, even though the record is a double 180gm LP, the seller does treat the product as they should. Record came in just a paper bag (as opposed to Amazon's usual cardboard vinyl box) which did not protect the record appropriately and as you can see in the picture is has been crushed somehow, the cover itself is quite worn on the edges and creased in the bottom. The vinyls themselves are slightly warped as well. Very disappointing and not the first time I've had an issue with Chalkys.

If you're a serious collector I would avoid this seller.

Arguably the best production of any Wu Album (perhaps only bettered by Liquid...), it's the archetypal 'tales of the street' LP. Filled to the brim with killer tracks and even some revolutionary ones (Glaciers of Ice?). Uniquely combines radio and underground appeal. Raekwon and Ghostface's rapping style is the true heir to original Hip-Hop in that the Medium is the message. These are people who have lived this, unlike Kanye West & friends; their use of language to paint a picture is without parallel Like a painting by Manet or a novel by Joyce, Rae and Ghost talk about their drug dealing past with no remorse, sentiment or glorification but paint a vivid picture. Like Manet, they chronicled the life of the city they knew like no-one before them and it is similarly shocking to contemporaries. But like all the best Wu work this is a team effort. The nion is greater than the sum of it's parts.
