Firstly, it could really use a belt. It just looks like it should be there but it's missing? Not that big of a deal, because I can just wear my own with it.
The other thing, which is a much bigger deal, is the slip. The color just doesn't match at all. It's way too light to be flesh-toned, so it calls attention to itself. A lot. It makes the dress look like its conflicted about what it wants to be - spring or autumn. The thing is, the dress is a very nice dark taupe (good for autumn) so the off-white slip (which is more of a spring thing) really clashes. A darker, true nude would have been a million times better and less noticeable.
I'm actually planning on buying a dark brown or black slip to wear underneath it, to make it work for fall and winter.
I actually also got the dress in the blue color too, to see which one looked better. I love it so much that I'm keeping them both. The blue is a nice robin's egg shade, but it also comes with the same clashing slip. Off-white apparently doesn't even work with blue very well. Plus, it's not exactly a slimming color, so while the shape of the dress is actually is quite flattering for people who look good in A-line dresses, the bright slip drags the eye back to the places you'd rather camouflage, YKWIM?
Okay, I've really rambled, but my baic point it buy the dress, replace the slip.
