I enjoyed the storytelling despite this lingering question. However, McCracken desperately needs an editor. There were multiple cases of missing punctuation, wrong word choice ( "do to" instead of "due to"), missing words, and more until I wondered if this book had been edited at all. All books have errors, but the ones in Only in Time were so glaring and commonplace that it pulled me out of the story repeatedly.
Overall, I would've given this book four stars had it been professionally packaged because the characters are truly likeable and their shared background is sweet. The mention of pregnancy did make the book end on a sour note for me. At least let me pretend no kids come into the mix so their future seems exciting rather than a buzzkill. To each their own, I suppose.
I've looked for more books in the Mystique Antiques series but didn't find any; I've found other series by McCracken but not this one. I hope she hasn't abandoned this idea. Although I usually enjoy a bit of heat in my romances, this was short & interesting enough to keep me reading. A good change of pace from my usual shifters; BDSM & vampire meals.

Six years later and Ally has moved back to Savannah, Jonah lives in L.A but gets persuaded into helping his brother's band out by playing guitar in one of the clubs in Savannah. Ally and Jonah's paths cross with both of them being back in Savannah at the same time.
Great things about this story is, there is so much to the story with lots of secrets and revelations being revealed throughout that it left me hooked. I was gutted when the book finished! The characters were so loveable from the start and i couldn't help wanting them to get together that it had me trying to read for hours. I would love to read more about Theo, Jonah's brother and Ally's best friend Cassie as i bet there story would be just as fantastic as you do obviously see snippets of them in this book but i would definitely buy a book of there story. I do love Kelli McCracken's work and i will be definitely be buying her next book.
I liked Jonah, he was a manly man full of love and 100% hotness. The paranormal bit was a bit out of place and it made me consider giving it a 3 stars review, I also saw the very ending from miles away.
All in all it was a pretty good read, it had a bit of everything and since I was craving some old, predictable love story, it didn't disappoint.
