OpTic Gaming, the four-time Call of Duty Major League Gaming Champions and one of the top eSports teams in the world, now takes fans behind the controller—into the game and the minds of the greatest gamers in the world—in this fascinating and unique memoir and insider guide.
Emerging on the scene in 2006, OpTic Gaming has dominated the Call of Duty e-sports arena, thanks to the talents of legendary players such as Matt “NaDeSHoT” Haag, the biggest eSports personality on earth; Seth “Scump” Abner, the best Call of Duty player in the world; Midnite, one of the first girl gamers to rise to stardom on YouTube; and Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, the team founder and CEO. With over 14 million followers across social platforms like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, no other team of players in eSports can match OpTic's popularity or ability to bring fans into the game.
Now, these remarkable players have collaborated to produce this one-of-a-kind book. In OpTic Gaming, they candidly share their story of becoming Call of Duty's global royalty—ESPN XGAMES, MLG, ESWC and GFINITY champions—laying bare their lives, exploring what it takes to make it in professional gaming, and speaking honestly about the consequences of their newfound fame. These best-of-the-best take you behind the controller, offering insights, knowledge, and strategies to help you improve your shot, master the most complex maps, and conquer the game with the ultimate weapons. Going beyond their number-one game, the team also discusses the rest of their lineups and how to become a champion in any arena. Revealing their go-to strategies, best missions, and favorite challenges, OpTic Gaming brings fans closer to these wildly popular professional gamers more than ever before.

One of the top eSports teams in the world, the legendary four-time Call of Duty Major League Gaming Champions, OpTic Gaming, takes you into the game and their universe as never before
With more than 16 million followers across various social channels, no eSports team matches the popularity or raw skill of OpTic Gaming. Thanks to the talents of legendary players such as Matt “NaDeSHoT” Haag, the biggest eSports personality on earth; Seth “Scump” Abner, the best Call of Duty player in the world; Ashley "MiDNiTE" Glassel, one of the first girl gamers to rise to stardom on YouTube; and Hector “strongCZ” Rodriguez, the team founder and CEO, OpTic Gaming has dominated the Call of Duty eSports arena for almost a decade.
Now in OpTic Gaming, the team members open up about the history of the team, their lives, what it takes to make it in professional gaming, and what it’s like to be Call of Duty champions. Along the way, they share every detail of how they achieved massive success on the biggest stages—from intense training techniques to gamer rivalries, their opinions on the best CoD titles, and how they convinced their parents to let them play video games for a living. Describing life on the team and in the legendary OpTic House, they take you behind the scenes of some of their most impressive wins, demonstrating how they’ve been able to succeed in the biggest events in pro gaming. The end result goes beyond the videos and the hashtags, telling a story of one team’s dramatic rise to the top.
OpTic GAMING was established in 2006 as a semiprofessional Call of Duty sniper team. In 2009, they started posting their games on YouTube and began their legendary run as professional Call of Duty gamers in Major League Gaming. They now have the largest following of any pro-gaming team, with more than 16 million fans across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram who are devoted followers of the Green Wall.Product details

Personally, I am a fan of optic gaming which makes me interested in knowing their story. But for anyone else looking for book to pass their time, this is not what you are look for. Only the people who are aware of e-sports and call of duty will enjoy this.
The way this book is written in a format I have not seen before. The authors take turns narrating their own experiences in each chapter about the different stages of their careers. My personal favorite is the story of nadeshot, he started out small.. became big... and went down unexpectedly.
The authors wanted readers to get more involved with e-sports after reading this book, but the message was not conveyed in the best way possible.
Overall the journey of optic is a roller coaster ride with a happy ending. This is what the authors wanted to share with the fans through the book.
At the end it didn't feel like I was reading a book, rather it was more like watching a podcast of all the members narrating their story, but this is just me. You may have a very different opinion about this. It is worth giving this book a shot.
