The characters are strong – well developed. It is easy to feel comfortable and at ease with old friends. Mr. Sparks keeps his main character Matt in the forefront of the action even as the constantly rolling action unfolds in both North and South America.
“Operation Firestorm” exudes militia in the form of massive amounts of detail about equipment, military bases, and tactic’s. The author has an immense knowledge specifically of Navy operations, ships and aircraft. The terrorists have taken years to plan their strategies, Matt and his team are continuously trying to outsmart the bad guys - this is a game of catch-up if you can or you will not like the outcome.
Operation Firestorm will grip you and keep you reading.
Congratulations on a great book!
OPERATION FIRE STORM is so packed with family life, adventure, excitement and heart stopping moments that it should be great reading for everyone who may have an interest in adventure and excitement and still realize it is a novel. From cover to cover I was amazed at the way the story was told and how easy it was to follow even though some of the names and phrases were difficult to pronounce. I would recommend this book to anyone and am looking forward to the next book Carl is working on.
My only suggestion would be to have someone proofread the manuscript for simple spelling and use-of-English errors. They weren't rampant like in some other books I've read, but occasionally I'd trip over an obvious "oops".
The book was clean and did not have any unnecessary sex or graphic violence, which was another positive aspect.
