I loved following Gabe and Tori’s story. Tori hated Christmas; from the time she was young something always terrible happened on Christmas and she feels she is cursed. Gabe loved Christmas and used his many acres of land and transformed it into a wonderful array of the story of Christs’ birth. He then used the funds generated to raise money for a good cause.
Also this just happens to be the guy Tori had a crush on in college. She is in charge of the doing the article on Gabe’s Christmas display and she is just so upset at this, but alas the job has been placed in her hands.
I enjoyed the story so much that I read it in one sitting and was hooked right from the beginning to the very end. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Elizabeth Maddrey is definitely going on my new favorite authors list!
I give this story 5***** all the way around and recommend to everyone. It’s a truly delightful read.
I liked this story. The plot developed much better than I had envisioned. The only mistake I found was “Doris’ cookies, which is a common one. The cover doesn’t do the book justice, but the only thing I disliked was the ending. It was too abrupt and rushed. Otherwise this was an excellent read.
I love the way she manages to keep the same church and the same Pastor Brown in each book. The characters are easy to like, and the story lines draw you in from the first page. When I know a new release is coming from this author, I will put all other novels aside and read her new release immediately! I am looking forward to the next Novella coming out near Valentines Day!

Although a Christmas based story, a classic tale of one not liking something while their match loves it, the story has a deeper Christian meaning.
I like how other characters in the story bring the overt Christian back to regular human levels of emotion and basic thinking.
I'd like to read another book based on Rick and Jake.
A great way to spend an afternoon reading and getting that cozy Christmas feeling.
