The first book is free, too & you really must start at the beginning to catch this ride with Operation Zulu: Overkill! Then, Part 1 through 4 make up the rest of this five book serialization (like watching a t.v. Short series). It equals 2 full length novels by the end! Amazing suspense! Join the rapid-fire team Zulu for this mission...you'll love it!
This is one story broken up into five parts. The complete story includes:
Overkill - The Beginning
Collateral Damage - Part 1
Out of Nowhere - Part 2
Hazardous Duty - Part 3
Act of Treason - Part 4
In this part, the team is starting to follow some leads, both in the United States and elsewhere. Sam is still not letting it go, and he's getting closer to learning some things. Frankie's also dealing with some backlash from her actions and it's suggested to her that she try and team up with Sam.
The team travels to Paris and encounters a ruthless assassin called The Turk. He decides to focus on Teya, and she ends up getting angry. Real angry. At the cliffhanger, the whole team is finding out that things aren't as they seem. Annie and Trace are both in real trouble and you can't believe it's the end!
Again, it's a great story thus far and I'm off to read the next part!
This installment of Operation Zulu has the Zulu team traveling to Paris and to Greece following leads that will hopefully bring them closer to whoever is hunting them. In the course of their search another foe is unleashed, an assassin has marked Teya as his kill. While the Zulu team is hunting for their would-be killers Sam is still hunting for Ashland/Annie and seems to want to stop at nothing to find her. Not a good thing for the team trying to maintain their anonymity.
Once again the action had me on the edge of my seat anxiously biting my nails! I like the fact that the girls are kick-butt characters but yet not machines. They are trained in combat, but yet are still able to feel compassion for those around them. It is a little hard for me to read when one of the girls gets the stuffings knocked out of her, but I have a feeling she'll be getting her revenge soon. Francesca Solomon is kind of ticking me off. She reminds me of a terrier with her jaws clamped around a bone and refuses to let go! She's going to be trouble I think.
Once again, the Zulu women and their support team are encountering danger at every turn. No, I mean it. Every. Single. Turn. Whoa! I'm surprised how many team members are still alive! Must be the awesome help they have in the sacrificial Trace, the protective Boone, and the technologically diligent Houston! Makes ME wanna be a part of the awesomeness that is Team Zulu! Not sure how much more this group of soldiers can take--they're a a breaking point! Come on, Friday release! I gotta know what else will happen! Super-dee-dooper happy reader here! Ronie Kendig continues to impress me with every element she so masterfully weaves into her stories--faith, hunky soldiers, strong women, courage, rescues, heroism, big guns, and loads of action!
Former Navy SEAL Sam Caliguari is still looking for Ashlane/Annie, refusing to believe she would have left him. However he and Otto, his techie, may have been causing her more trouble. I also found the addition of Quade as a trainer interesting. I was so impressed when Noodle/Nuala got the best of him. The episodes are cliff hangers leaving you anxious for the next one. Thankfully they are now all released so you can immediately download the next one.
