The book compiles personal nonfiction essays written on Amrita Sarkar's blog of the same name. Each one expounds on a different aspect of modern life (all the topics are broad enough that the reader can relate to them in some way) and can be read in isolation or as part of the collection.
Sarkar shares her opinions on and experiences with these issues in an honest and transparent way that challenges the reader to reconsider their own perspective. While at times the essays can be a bit rambling (a hazard of the free-thought style), they are all extremely thoughtfully written and often humorous. By the end of the book, I felt like I knew the author (at least to the extent that she wanted me to) and I had given new thoughts to both old ideas and ones that I'd never before pondered.
If you're looking for thoughtful personal, blog-style essays, a time capsule of one late-twenty-something's human experience, or just something refreshingly different, then I recommend giving Of Opinions a read.
