I totally need a new case but will buy this 20 times over again I can't believe there is no damage at all, not even from the impact.
It took me a while to figure out how to put the phone in (hint: put the rubber sleeve by itself over the phone first, and then put the hard cover on). It could use instructions on how to put the phone in correctly. Once the case was on, it was ON. I had no fear that the phone would accidentally fall out.
The case plastic very slick, and the resultant phone and phone-in-case would no longer sit in the cradle that I have in my car.
The phone-in-case sits in the holster very securely. I have no fears the phone-in-case will accidentally fall out of the holster.
The stand on the back of the case is very sensitive and will pop open with the slightest provocation. I may end up gluing it shut, it's that annoying.
That said, I'm happy with it given the price.
The case is sturdy. I am confident my phone will survive falls.
The phone is easy to get in and out of the case - if you know how to do it. The case itself is in two pieces. You have to either detach the silicon skin and put it on before he exoskeleton, then snap the second part into place (and then the third part, the belt clip, slides on and off) OR keep them together and pry it on.
For the price, it looks good.
Broke on the first day: I was getting into my car and maybe it's the size of the phone or my particular physique, but my case caught the outside of the car door frame as I was sitting. The belt clip snapped right off and the phone went flying. IT does not go back together. This seems like it would be a common enough occurrence that the case should have a plan b. I believe this is a design flaw AND
There are no directions - if there is a way to avoid this, a slip of paper explaining this (and the way to get it on and off) would be extremely helpful.
I'm now on a G4, so I don't use it any longer - but it held up well, did its job, and is certainly worth the money.
I was an idiot and left my phone on the hood of my car, and drove off.
My phone fell and hit the concrete and a truck ran over it. Surprisingly, the phone didn't get crushed... Yes, the screen cracked and it was unusable (the phone fell with the screen facing downwards) but the case was actually intact for the most part. The top right corner of the case broke off but then again... a truck ran over it... and it fell off a car moving at 50 mph...
It protected my phone to the point where I was able to plug it into my computer and retrieve all of my important stuff (mostly pictures).
So yes, this case should protect your phone from the every day occasional drop. RIP my LG G2...
