This book is basically a more personalized story of the Greek story about Perseus. While I thought it had a little bit of a stiff and formal start to it, I really was able to get into it and enjoy the story when I got to know Perseus in his childhood and see what motivated him to kill his grandfather and lead him to fulfill his fate.

I've always enjoyed fantasy and mythology so for me this was really enjoyable.

The Oracle of Delphi, second book of the Greek Myth Fantasy Series by Elizabeth Rose is based in Greek Mythology but it is first and foremost a love story. It tells the tale of Perseus, son of the god Zeus and Danaë the mortal daughter of King Acrisius of Argos. Perseus grows to manhood, then as predicted by the Oracle of Delphi, meets and eventually falls in love with the Princess Andromeda. The Oracle of Delphi foretold decades ago that the two would fall in love but their path would not be easy. Love, jealousy, deceit, a variety of odd characters, mythical beasts, and dangerous quests stand in the way of true love. This is a thoroughly enjoyable tale that transforms Greek myths into a charming book length tale that allows the reader time to develop a relationship with the characters in a way that isn't possible with a shorter story. I look forward to reading the other titles in The Greek Myth Fantasy Series by Elizabeth Rose.

A well written story about Perseus, the Greek god, in his early manhood. The story starts with the Oracle and her prediction before he is conceived. After Perseus' s birth, the story fast forwards to his early manhood and the reason for the start of his travels and adventures.
He travels to the Oracle and meets Andromeda. Then the "fun" starts. Read about his travels and marriage to Andromeda, how he took Medusa' s head and the slaying of the sea serpent. Throw in some sea nymphs and how he defeated a corrupt King and his army and you have the early life of Perseus.
This is a well written and fast paced story. If you like Greek mythology and some romance, then this is a book for you.

This is one of the Greek myths. In particular it is Perseus' story. Perseus as well as Andromeda both have destinies to fulfill and neither of them are especially wanting to fulfill the ones they were given. You will enjoy watching them travel the road fate, and the Oracle, determined for them.

While I enjoyed the story and loved Perseus I was very disappointed with Andromeda. I felt she was very selfish at the beginning and kept wondering when she would grow up. With that said, Perseus would not become the man he was if everything was made easy. I would recommend the book to anyone who does or does not love Greek mythology.
