I found myself totally engaged on every level with her. I could relate to her pain and her confusion about things. I could relate to her questions to God about what He was trying to communicate to her as well as what He was trying to accomplish through her.
Each chapter brought a new life adventure and a new chapter in how God relates to us and works to break down our fears and barriers.
Why Orange Jumpsuit? Because each of us is held prisoner by our fears and our sin. We need to learn the freedom we have in Christ that helps us to break free of our fears. But that is hated work. Tara Leigh gives us great lessons through her personal life adventures. I feel as though I have gained a new friend just through reading her story. I definitely know that I have found someone who can encourage me when life gets hard.
As you read you will discover how God speaks to Tara Leigh and how He comforts and challenges her. From dwelling on her stories and contemplating on the truths she shares about God your heart will be lifted up and you will be drawn towards God in a new and wonderful way.
Thank you Tara Leigh for sharing your heart, your hope and your struggles.
There was so much in here to love. The author's conversational style made it feel like you were just sitting down for a chat with a friend and made it a really quick read. It pulled me in right away and kept my interest throughout. The author was so incredibly transparent with her struggles and hurt and fears that it really did feel like you were reading someone's diary. I'm impressed with how willing she is to open her inner life up to others in order to bring God glory. I laughed, I cried, I felt closer to God at the end. It was also really healing for me, as many of the things she struggled with were so familiar to me--almost as if SHE had read the pages of MY journal. There was so much wisdom in here that I found myself highlighting passages so much that sometimes the entire page was highlighted!
I do wish this was available in paperback, so I could buy extra copies to give to friends. I've already recommended it to others and am anxious to read more of her writing.
Thanks, Ms. Cobble, for being so willing to let God use your struggles and fears and pain to bring healing and freedom and hope to others.
Tara is one of those seeds that has fallen in the ground to die, she will produce much. The Joy of the Lord is her Strength.
