- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2021As a native Oregonian, this book gives a great overview on many of the State's natural wonders. I do have a few small issues. While the book does give the GPS coordinates of each location, this book could have greatly benefited from including a map where all of the locations are based, as this would save the reader quite a bit of time searching for many of these locations. Secondly, the book could have been better organized by region or by geological feature. It seems just a little archaic in the book's setup. Aside from a few location errors, I think this is a really good book for many facets of Oregon that often go overlooked.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2022All you have to do is:
1. Internet search place name;
2. enter coordinates as given and
3. Go!
Any other info is not included here. You’re already using a computer/phone, and don’t need this book. No maps; little organization.
Attached photos include the entire section on Crater Lake: 2 pages. One is a journal page w/ tiny b/w photo. Follow the photo link from reference page for a lovely color photo.
Also attached is the book’s list of 50 Bucket List Places. Now you have everything.
My annoyance & disappointment led me to compare the book’s description points below to what I found (my comments are in ALL CAPS).
* Comprehensive driving directions (ROUTE FROM NEAREST TOWN & GPS);
* Get informed about the areas (NO FLORA, FAUNA, HISTORIES etc).
* what to look for (USUALLY A SINGLE ODD FACT).
* What to bring along (NOPE).
* Discover the best time to visit (BY MONTHS)
* weather conditions (Sooo GENERAL AS TO BE USELESS).
* average expenses (BIG FAIL).
Just don’t waste your $$ on this book.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2021Bridge Press’s ‘Oregon Bucket List Adventure Guide and Journal’ is an excellent resource for tourists intending to visit the sights in Oregon. It recommends fifty natural wonders to see—and these are genuinely impressive sights, too, from Devil’s Churn to Thor’s Well. Each entry includes a description (often with historical or geological notes), a recommended time to visit the site, the cost, directions from the nearest town, and GPS coordinates. Each entry also has a ‘Journal’ section, in which the sightseer can log relevant information about their visit. This book would be invaluable for tourists and vacationers visiting the state.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2021This state has been on my bucket list for a long time. We have finally decided to go in the near future, which lead me to this book. It has everything you need to get to the places listed, very well put together. My favorite feature is the journal section. The pictures are beautiful and a preview of what's waiting. I have already marked a few pages to go to on my trip, this was so helpful!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2023I recently moved to Oregon and would like to explore its beauty. I hoped this book would help. It is little more than a list of must-see attractions. It could have easily offered so much more valuable information. For example, the "map of Oregon" on page 11 is a picture that gives no information other than that Oregon was established in 1859. It could have helped if each destination was numbered, with the numbers laid out on the map, so, when I'm in the Southeast corner of Oregon I can refer to the map and see which destinations are near me. I have never heard of any of the destinations, I don't know where they are relative to where I am. I'd like to start exploring the destinations that are nearest to me, but this book makes it very difficult to know which those are. A waste of my money and a huge disappointment. BTW, I never write reviews, but I was so insulted by the uselessness of this book that I had to warn others.
