The only reason I didn't give this five stars is beacuse the battery is kinda difficult to change. I've had this monitor for most of a year now- I bought it off ebay for $50 new; took a chance and glad I did! I absolutely love the toggle feature. You can turn the toggle on or off; the toggle means that when in exercise mode it rotates through timer, calories burned, fat burned, and heart rate. If you turn it off you just tap the face firmly to see whatever mode you want to see. Another nice feature is that if you want it'll save the workout to it's memory so you can look back and see what you burned for a specific day or if you're trying to burn X amount in a week it'll add them up for you automatically until you clear the memory (nice if say you're shooting to burn 3500 cals a week, just keep saving each workout until you reach that and then clear the memory to start over the next week). The chest strap is adjustable to whatever size you are: small, large, or in between and isn't anymore uncomfortable than a bra strap or the strap from my sports bra. I've actually worn the watch as a regular watch it's so cute. I had a hard time finding a cute one so that's what primarily drew me to this one. I'm able to accurately know how many calories I'm burning so that I can properly caclulate my calorie deficit for weight loss. Great product! The ONE thing I don't like; I recently had to change the batteries (heavy use! haha) and the back of the watch has to be unscrewed; literally the whole back screws off. You'd think this would be nice as compared to indiidual tiny screw like normal watches but it was really difficult- a regular flat head screw driver kept coming out of the slot when I was trying to unscrew it and really scratched up the back in the process. Then it was just as hard to put it back on.Read more ›

Do not use a screw driver to open the battery compartment on the watch or the strap. It is simple as taking a quarter (yes a coin) place it in the groove and twist counter-clockwise. To screw it back on repeat the process clockwise... Voila! Simple as that. No scratches and no hustle!

I love the colour of this watch. As usual things look smaller on here than in real life but size is okay for me it might be big and heavy for a smaller person's hand i.e. someone petite. I mostly use it to check to see how many calories I burn when I workout. I used to use endomondo to track my calories burned when I walk/run. When I use this I get similar readings for calories burn thats the only thing I can use to check how accurate it is. I am by no means a professional anything. I work out at home and this was simple to use. I've had no issues with the watch being able to pick up the signal from the belt. It feels as though it will last a while, its not cheap feeling I'm rather clumsy and I'm not worried I'll break the watch band etc. I've had it for over a month and I use it almost everyday.

So its easy to use, it does what it says- reads heart rate, tells calories burned, tells you what heart rate zone you are in, it has regular watch settings, it has no alarm feature, it lets you set user settings such as weight, fitness level, age etc. it stores the calories burned per workout plus a cumulative amount that you've burned since you started using it, up to 99 records. tells average heart rate for a workout, tells maximum and minimum heart rate, tells how long you stayed in a heart rate zone you selected, has no trouble picking up signal from belt, touch screen function. It's more girly than for a man. Hope this helps

First, let me say that I adore the whole concept of this watch. Tap screen works great, set up was fairly easy and heart rate capture seems to be accurate relative to other monitors. Love the history function and easy to read display.

That said, I got this HRM to get an accurate picture of my calorie burn during group exercise classes, and the formula for calculation seems to be off. The reading is showing probably 40% to 50% of calories burned, particularly based on what others in the class are getting on their HRMs (and yes, I'm working just as hard :o).

As an example, in one class, I had a burn display of 230 while another person using a Polar monitor showed a burn of 700. Big difference! BTW, she is about my age, maybe a little lighter than me, but not by much, and we were both equally exausted at the end of the class.

I've contacted the company to check on their formula. Just be forewarned.

For $19, the inconveniences are tolerable if you are a beginner or if you want the constant cycling through all of the data. It is a basic exercise monitor with few customizations available. Other reviewers have reported it to be complicated to setup ...and it is but, if you work through the instructions (which are lengthy and a little misleading) and then work with it a few weeks, you will be able to master it.

My issues with it are:

- The display cycles through BPM, stop watch, calories and fat. I only use the stop watch and BPM, but that's too bad because you are forced to see all four displays before you get to the display you want. You can set it to not toggle, but then you have to constantly tap the crystal to move through each display until you get to the one you want.
- You would think that the tapping feature is good, but it isn't because it is sensitive to more than just tapping. The display changes not only with tapping, but also if you move your hand suddenly as is common with exercising.
- It does beep when you fall outside your target BPM zone, but you probably won't hear it if you have anything but a completely silent room for your exercising.
- This seems to be designed for women only. The wrist band barely fits on my wrist (it's on the last rung) and I have a medium sized wrist.
