This is some of the best tasting k-cup coffee I've had.

The catch is that once one of the individual 8 pack pouches are opened, there is nothing to keep air away from the grounds inside the filter, so the coffee can go stale quite quickly. I've been able to get around this by keeping the opened cups in a ziplock bag, and that seems pretty effective.

I am picky about K-cups apparently, because most of what I try I am not a huge fan of. Especially, especially the decaf coffee option out there. This makes a full-flavored cup and is delicious! I have an older sister who is a full-on coffee snob, and she really likes this product as well. Even at the 10 ounce setting still a great cup of coffee. Note that they do not come in plastic containers like most. The bottom is made out of a soft coffee filter type material. Works great in both my Keurig and Cuisineart models. The cost of the pod each is good considering the quaility of the coffee. I also buy the French Roast vareity (decaf) from the same company, and prefer this a bit over the French Roast. Really great cup of coffee, and given that it is organic a terrific deal!

I like these and the Fog Chaser coffee in similar pods. One package fits perfectly in a quart size canning jar - this keeps the pods fresh and looks nice too (rather than a zip lok bag) on the counter.

I have tried all three of The Organic Coffee Company's coffees, Breakfast Blend, Java Love and Gorilla Decaf. They are all better, in my opinion, than any other k cup I've tried so far (Caribou, Green Mountain, Gevalia, Tully's). I think what these have going for them is that they're much closer to the coffee I brew in my espresso machine, which is from fresh Panamanian beans that I grind myself. Real coffee grounds would come out of the bottom of the hole in a regular k cup. These have a regular, paper coffee filter on the bottom of them with a tiny hole on the underside for the coffee to come out of. I prefer to keep them in a ZipLoc baggy to ensure freshness once I've opened the package, rather than putting them into my k cup carousel. Right now I am comparing Breakfast Blend and Java Love side by side (the Gorilla Decaf, while very good, was bought for my husband who prefers to avoid caffeine). The Breakfast Blend is a stout medium roast, perfect as a first eye-opening cup in the morning. Java Love is a smooth tasting medium blend, perfect for anytime of day. Neither cup is weak, which is something I really don't like in a cup of coffee. They're strong enough to use more than once if you like getting a little more mileage out of your k cups. Last night, for instance, I was feeling like a late evening cup of coffee but didn't want the caffeine. Rather than use a new Gorilla Decaf I reused one that had been used earlier, although, I put my Keurig on a smaller serving size so as not to have too weak of a cup of coffee the second time around. It turned out perfect.

This is the best one cup coffee out there! It is bold but the flavor is crisp and clean. Not bitter or even a hint of burnt flavor. I can't wait until it is back in stock on Amazon so I can keep a supply on hand.

We love the San Francisco Bay Coffee Company (they make Gorilla). The flavor is the best! Their biodegradable K-Cups are brilliant. However, if you are concerned about your cholesterol levels like I am, you'll will want to either stay away, or paper filter the coffee after you brew it. Understand that traditional French Press, Turkish, and Espresso coffees are unfiltered. That leaves a harmful oil, Cafestol in the coffee. Cafestol is associated with raising bad (LDL) cholesterol levels. Coffee filtered with paper filters do not have this harmuful oil. Furthermore, traditional K-Cups in fact have a paper filter inside that takes out the Cafestol. Knowing these have a filter, I emailed San Francisco Bay's CS. They promptly got back to me with the following:

"Our POD filter does not filter out as much as the paper filters and lets the Cafestol remain in the brew. A typical bean of coffee Arabica contains about 0.06% Cafestol by weight and as you’ve suggested, it is present in highest quantity in unfiltered coffee drinks such as when brewed with a French Press. In filtered coffee drinks such as drip brewed coffee, it is present in only negligible amounts. The amount consumed will ultimately determine the levels of concern.

We do not filter coffee. We only roast and grind. For drip coffee makers cafestol is reduced as the brew passes through a paper filter which is an absorbent; in the OneCup brewing, the brew passes through a polyester filter which is less absorbent so cafestol is less affected.

We would always recommend that you consult with your health care provider for consumption of our single serve OneCups.

I was excited to try this new coffee k cup without all the extra plastic underneath. This just drips through the coffee in a mesh filter. It's a great idea and I wish all the coffee k cups were made like this. The coffee itself is good tasting and stronger than your typical k cup. I put it on the highest water setting 12oz and it was full flavored coffee. I did not think it had a bitter taste and I enjoyed drinking it. I am kinda a light weight coffee drinker and I enjoy flavored weaker coffees so this one might not be what I like every day but there are times when I do and I will buy this again.
