Love the ketchup, but the date is less than 2 months out!
I don’t love getting 4 bottles of ketchup in the middle of September that have a best use by date in mid November. But I do love the ketchup and this is the best way to buy it where I live.
this one has so many "feels", that I thought I better wait a while before I write. As so I can sort this stuff out. OK, I'll try. Back when I got this a year ago. A (single) bottle was 'way' expensive. $27 sounds about right. BUT, if I buy a case it come down to a more respectable ($10/bottle). So I buy a case. Even before I try, I bought a bunch. Genius eh? Is it "good"? yea. Is it "delicious"? yea. Is it absolutely different? yea. Is it a "good Ketchup"? whoa now. How can something be "different", yet the same? Life don't work that way. Ketchup is "tangy" and "salty" and "vinegary". This is more like a "rich tomatoey smooth flavor". It is divine, instead of Ketchup. A KETCHUP alternate? yea. It is worth the change. There will be a little while there (a month). Of missing that Ketchup "tang". But the Agave makes up for it. No sugar because it has been replaced with Agave. It sounds innocuous and benign. BUT, it taste "so very" different. I still keep using this Agave nectar Ketchup after more than a yea. So, yeah, I like it a lot. Although, I do keep another bottle of regular Ketchup. Not because I don't like this. But because it's an entire different taste. You keep a bottle of mustard and a bottle of ketchup. I keep a (bottle of mustard and a bottle of ketchup) and a bottle of Agave nectar ketchup. They (are all three delicious) and (all three different).
If you want to ruin all other ketchup, try this stuff! Seriously, I have been using Organicville ketchup for about 10 years now and cannot stand to eat anything else. It is such a rich tomato flavor, it really does put other brands to shame. I am one of those people who love ketchup on everything, so trust me on this one. Give it a try and you'll love it.
I don’t know if the damaged item came from the seller or the Amazon ware house. I order 2 pkgs with 4 ketchup bottles in each. The box was damaged, the pkg. had been ripped off 4 of the bottles, one bottle was open and spilled out the box. There was no where near enough protection for shipping. Since the items are not returnable or replaceable and I cannot get ahold of Amazon or Organicville I’m out a bottle of ketchup. I love the products and won’t stop me from ordering again. Just hoping the right person sees this to correct any issues whomever is responsible for it.
I ordered the ketchup on the basis of some of the other reviews that gave me the impression that it was UN-sweetened, since I've always thought most U.S. ketchups (and mustard, tartar sauce, baked beans, and coleslaw, for that matter! but don't get me started...) contain way too much sweetener. When the ketchup arrived, however, I was disappointed to taste - and find that this was, IMHO, just as sweet as any other ketchup on the market. The key is that, NO, there is no added sugar, no corn syrup - but the product uses agave as a natural sweetener. So I would recommend this ketchup for people who want to avoid processed sugar and chemical sweeteners - but not for those individuals like me who bemoan the tendency of American food producers to pour sugar and/or corn syrup into anything they can get away with.
