I could not stop using Sky Valley Organicville Sriracha since the first time I used it. A friend that was staying at my house put a bottle of it in the cupboard. I asked if I could try it and he told me he bought it for his girlfriend. I ended up sneaking it out of the cupboard to try on some chicken fingers. I never put it back in the cupboard and ended up using it all. I tried it on everything. I used it on everything even tried it on a salad, :) and it was very good. When I went looking to replace the bottle I used, I found it on Amazon but they only had 2 bottles left. I bought them both. I replaced the one I borrowed from the cupboard and started using the other one and finished it in a day or two. I went back to Amazon looking to purchase some more Sriracha. Amazon was out of the Sky Valley brand so I found and purchased 6 bottles from 2 different vendors 3 bottles from one and 3 from the other. I don't remember the names of the brands because I never finished a bottle of either. They were ok but not near the addictive quality of the Sky Valley.
I have bought and enjoyed several brands of Sriracha sauce and this is by far the best blend of hot sauce I have found. It has a faint sweetness to the great flavor of chilies and garlic. I find myself tasting a spot of this Sriracha on my finger all by itself from time to time just to enjoy it's flavor and spicy'ness.
Best Sriracha sauce I have ever had. For me it hits that perfect balance between spicy and still being able to taste the delicious variety of flavors that go into batch. I like the brand with the rooster on the bottle ad well, but Sky Valley is probably the more versatile brand and goes well with a large variety of food. I even put this in mac and cheese meals to add a little zingy fire to the dish.
Too bad this product may jot be produced for much longer.
Husband considers himself to be an official sriracha expert... ha... This brand is his favorite for heat and flavor. He describes as sriracha with a touch of a smoky chipotle note - subtle. With all the heat you want. He goes through about a bottle a week. Sheesh. Brother was here and so he is now a fan so I had to order TWO of these boxes - you get 6 bottles. One for my brother and one for my husband. There you go. If you like sriracha - I would try to pick a single if you can find it locally (we get that brand from Whole Foods when they have it).. and then see if you need to step up to major stock. Stay safe and well!
Husband agrees it is better than his normal siracha sauce. I have been making switches for healthier sauces, and food for my family of 6, and this is a winner!
It tastes good but it isn't siracha. If you are getting this to eat with sushi, it isn't suitable in my opinion.
It tastes like a thick and garlicky Louisiana style hot sauce. While this isn't a bad thing, it isn't what I'd consider siracha. It would likely be pretty great on chicken wings as it's thick enough to use as a saucd. I'll use it but not on sushi which is what my siracha goes for usually. I'd not use it in Asian cooking. The heat level was appropriate and the thickness was right on.
If it wasn't labeled siracha, I'd give it a higher flavor rating. It is like getting a good jar of pineapple jelly when you ordered marmalade. It might be great pineapple jelly but it isn't marmalade.
