After starting this book - i began giving myself permission to take it slow and think my work habits through before buying organizational stuff or forcing myself to adapt to a purchased system.. Afterall this room and the house are still new to me. Yes it was a BIG wasteful mistake to buy baskets, bins, & small furniture units in by color, shape or price BEFORE learning how my flow will actually go. In hindsight I should have bought the book before I stripped and began redoing the room.
Since buying Aby and Wendy's book - I take my room completion in reads, thinks and steps. I really try to assess the way I work at each design or technique step before bringing organizational "helps" home.
My nearly finished room is now a pure delight to work in. Simply walking by and looking in makes me smile. This book is helping me finally create the colorfully happy and wonderfully organized crafting room I have always wanted. Yes it takes time for me to craft, read, think and then take action. But I couldn't be happier.
If you are like me, you have so (too) much stuff (two rooms full) but haven't mastered how to put your hands on it when you need it. Thanks to this book and an assistant (just paid off my car and can now afford to hire help) I am well on my way to having camera-ready craft rooms. Wow - what a concept!
