Organizing Creativity: How to generate, capture, and collect ideas to realize creative projects. Paperback – March 31, 2012
From the Author
Okay, I wrote this book because I gave a presentation about organizing creativity at a student conference and I just *needed* to say a few things. I find it excruciating when people have the potential for great creative products, yet cannot realize it because a) creativity does need hard work and b) creativity *needs* organization -- they are not opposites, to be creative you need to organize your work. But enough said, see for yourself -- you find a PDF of the book at organizingcreativity.com/book-as-pdf/ -- if you like it, if it tells you anything new, you might want to buy this book. Money is honest and direct feedback. If not, I'm sorry to have wasted your time.
About the Author
I've been creative all my life ... from creating a case for razor blades for my mother to drawing pictures of the BMW of my father, "creating" was just in me. But I am also off the charts when it comes to self-monitoring and due to my interest in creativity, I save anything that could be useful for someone trying to be creative. My background in psychology (German PhD equivalent) helps me to sift though the different ways to improve creativity and find the interesting bits, but this book is not a theoretical book. It's a collection of ideas of how you can improve your creativity. I think that being creative is hard, but it it's also fun -- hard fun to be exact. Creating something new and useful is hard ... so don't underestimate it. Yet there are ways to make the work easier for you -- and this book should help you. If not, I'm sorry, if it does, I'll appreciate feedback.

You can get the downsized version of the PDF of this book for free from the author's website and that's what I did first, but now I decided to support the author directly, though I've used Lulu.com instead of Amazon to give the author more. But for those who want it cheaper, please consider ordering it here.
Positives. Great title, well organized and covers a lot of ground..
Negative. Absolutely nothing (yes nothing) of any serious depth, insight, value or even note in this book! Sounds harsh, I know. Sorry. Wanted to like it. But doesn't get beyond skimming the surface of everything he touches. The PDF version has been made free for download through shareware by the author. Check out before buying.
