Ordered from Discount watch store thru Amazon + it came in 3 days. An fyi tidbit is that Seiko invested in Orient a few years ago + owns 52% of Co. probably for synergies but so far it appears Orient is operating independently as no Orient movements have shown up yet in any Seiko Automatic Watches + no Seiko Quartz movements in Orients. In Japan watch co lineup is Seiko, Citizen, Casio then Orient. ALL Orient movements are manufactured in Japan but other parts are also sourced from other Orient Asian factories.

Now onto the Watch, It is beautiful + retro looking with face design, battons, hands + domed crystal. Measures 40mm, so the size is contemporary + gives it away for not being a vintage watch.

Band is a little stiff out of the box due to padding, so I put a black un-padded smooth very soft calf skin band on it BUT it is important to realize that band is 21mm NOT 20mm as advertised on Amazon, which is a little harder to find but they are out there, especially on ebay and Amazon for $10 to $12 bucks!

Accuracy is about 1 1/2 minutes slow after 2 weeks, which is what one should expect + is very good for any mechanical.

Overall 4+ to 5 stars, but a 4+ as band looks so good but feels so stiff out of the box, maybe over time would loosen but I had an extra band this size.

Otherwise a very very good functioning + very good looking watch. Amazon recently has on sale for $117.95 2 days after I received mine, UGH, "such a buy". See Orient Story @

This is my second Orient watch, my first being a Mako, and definitely won't be the last. I was surprised that this variant of the Bambino had no reviews, I guess the rose gold and silver versions are more popular. That being said, I am very happy that I chose gold. The doomed crystal is a great feature, I can't somment on the durability yet, but it looks very nice.

This is a very nice watch. It has a nice upscale appearance and feel. It's slightly larger in diameter than I expected but I'm getting used to that. I replaced the very stiff leather band with a flexible expansion band and it's much more comfortable and easier to get on and off. The leather band was too much effort on a daily basis. I was a little surprised to find that I can't actually wind the watch with the stem. The only way to wind it is with arm movement. If I leave it off my wrist for much longer than overnight it stops and needs to be re-set. That is the main reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.

Very nice watch for the money (around the $140 mark). It's a bit of an homage, if you will, to one model of the Longines Conquest line back in the 50's and 60's, with updated size of 40mm. Keeps reasonably good time - mine is off 20 sec or so daily. Only negative is the inferior quality of the 21mm strap. You can swap it out, of course, but the size is a bit tricky.

Overall, great bang per buck, as most Orient watches are. I also have one of the Open Hearts. Another very nice watch!

I was a Orient watch enthusiast until now. This watch failed after 13 months of very light use. The watch was used sparingly in special occasions, so I can only attribute it to low quality. Given that manufacturing is a consistent process, I suspect all other watches with this movement will fail. Since I was an Orient fan for so many years, I tried to reason with them, it didn't work. The cost to repair is about $75 plus s&h, so it clearly is a one time use-and-trash watch.
Unless you want a pretty paperweight within a year, buy yourself something else, there are many automatic watch options in the market for comparable prices. Orient is definitely not what it used to be.
