As Seen on ABCs hit show Shark Tank. The Rock-It portable vibration speaker system takes music from your device and turns it into vibration sequences. It sends those vibrations through the Rock-It pod which sticks to ANY object. Simply press play on your device and the Rock-It will turn that object into a speaker! Now with a built-in rechargeable battery!
Top Customer Reviews
The rechargeable battery is the best upgrade they did. I use to have to use AAA or the USB power option.
Also, the included volume wheel because sometimes your file isn't loud.
I do like the design, it's the right size to fit in my pocket.
If you're never used one of these you'll LOVE to show it off. If you understand physics and acoustics you'll appreciate it that much more.
Things that are GREAT for producing the sound:
Styrofoam cooler - BOMB, I do this when tailgating and everyone thinks it's awesome!
Solo Cup - Great for the demo, or to get that old 20's style sound.
Trash Cans - it works, but the sound isn't beefy like the cooler.
Cardboard Box - Works great.
Just look at something and compare it physically to a speaker, cone shape and such. That's mostly how it works. If it's shaped similarly then you'll likely get a good sound.
For the price, this is a good deal. I have friends all over that want this lil bad boy and I gladly share the link. It's great for parties, tailgating, or just to show off.
MY ONE COMPLAINT:
The speaker, the tip that goes on top and where the sound comes from, is attached with a wire. You have to be careful not to pull the wire out when unwinding it. I can't tell which way it should go. The length I've gotten is about 6 inches, and that's not long enough. There should be a better design or a image to show which way to turn it to unwind.
Otherwise it's easy to use, and fun to show off.
The rest of the device appeared to be new. The battery has already had a tough life.
I am very disappointed in this product.
Also, this worked well with the box it shipped in; it sounded really good. Just attach the speaker to the tape, not the cardboard.
But I think the best part of this is the "coolness" factor, where it's fun to see how this will make various items sound, and trying to be creative in finding the best sound/size ratio (a medium Amazon.com box does pretty well in that category). Item works as advertised!!
I have fun with the carriers when they bring boxes in to shipping & receiving. I say, "Do you hear that?" pointing to one of their boxes. Then I say, "Let me use this little amplifier to enhance the sound level of what I'm hearing inside your box." I place the speaker of my Rock-It 3.0 on the box and watch their eyes widen. Sometimes they jump back away from the parcel like it's alive. With a big smile, I explain what's up and they all get a kick out of it. We try a bunch of different sized containers on the trucks. The best we've found (beside my shoebox which I guard jealously) is an empty pizza box.
I'm sure my demonstrations have sold a ton of these things. They recharge easily and quickly and are a great deal of fun.
