You can watch me unbox and assemble the desk in the attached video.
The pressboard is good quality and dense, but shallow. It's fine for clamping things to and can be drilled easily. Just be careful not to drill through the top surface, and also that your screw length won't intersect the top surface. I had to buy nylon washers to space the screws on my Fellowes keyboard tray.
Unfortunately, there's a crossbar and thick hinge that make most keyboard drawers unable to close with a keyboard in the tray. Further, I need to unscrew the tray from the posts to breakdown the desk with the tray in position. The only practical solution I've found is a clamp style desk extender, but the height of the desktop is too high for good ergonomics, so this is not ideal either.
I love it so much that I would get a second one.
The only thing that I was disappointed with, was that my tower does not fit underneath the desk on the little metal mesh section. My tower is on the mid-small size, so I was very surprised by that.
But, it does just fine up by my monitor.
Make sure you measure out the space you want for it. This cane a little smaller than I expected, but is more fault on my part than theirs.
We house 2 monitors on the top with an Xbox and gamer pc on the bottom.
This is featured in almost every list for top 10 gaming desks.
I love that it can withstand 900lbs, because the only place to set it up was under a bedroom window. Our older house has high windows, and in addition to being a gamer desk it serves a reliable boost easily scale the window in the event of a fire.
