I usually don’t leave reviews, but I absolutely needed to for this one. I bought this charger for my dad to use for his LG phone. As many people have said, mine also does not work. I ordered a similar one from a different seller to replace it. I came to find out when comparing the two that the reason this one doesn’t work is because there are no metal contacts inside to give it the ability to transfer power to the metal contacts in the phone. All this is a plug with a cord. I advise you to stay away from this seller, who is unfortunately making money off of selling dud products and you cannot return them for a refund. Super shady...this seller should be shut down.

It charges well enough and I haven't had any issues with overheating or failure to charge. The cable is short, though, and very thin and flimsy. I bought this as a replacement for another LG charger that I loved and used for years, thinking it would be similar; it is not. Fortunately, I mainly need this for home use, as I think it would degrade quickly if I traveled with it- though that hypothesis is untested, since I don't trust the cable strength well enough to do so. I currently have this plugged in next to my bed on my night stand. The cable reaches my night stand top just fine, but if I need to use my phone from bed, I have to sit up and either unplug my phone or use it over the nightstand because the cable is so short. Overall, it meets my base, immediate needs and was cheap to purchase, but I would recommend going another direction if you want something sturdier and more comfortable.

This cord is nice even though it doesn't come apart like most plugs.

It is great to be able to find something for an LG phone since all I see is stuff for I phones!

It fits perfectly as I have an LG G4 and it does it's purpose and charges great.

I found if you are on the phone while it is charging it might take a little longer than expected than if you were off the phone.

If you have any kind of LG product this might work.

I would recommend this product.

Exactly what I wanted for an inexpensive travel charger. My smart phone (LG) complains about low powered chargers but this one is fine. It has a fixed USB cord aprox. 3 ft long, if you are wanting something longer or the type that lets you plug in a normal USB cord then this isn't it. That doesn't bother me, this one works better for me to leave in my suitcase with a rubber band around the cord and charger to keep it from tangling and take up minimal space without having to worry about cord or charger getting separated. I also use it for my Toshiba tablet and the Bluetooth keyboard I use with it, if I'm careful monitoring battery status this is the only charger I need on a trip although I usually have another in my laptop bag.

I'm not sure why both our OEM Verizon USB AC charging cords went bad but they did. Strange both our DC auto charging cords still worked while the the AC cords/charging blocks don't. Also our phone charging screens disappeared and had to bring them back using menu through the open keypad. Still think Verizon had something to do with this and a VZ rep told me they no longer carry the LG Octane. And the rep told me I had a bad charging port on my phone which turned out to be false.

Great deal for $5.50 w/free shipping in buying this OEM wall outlet AC charger which works! Not sure about the longer charging time others have complained about but since we just plug our phones in overnight and they're fully charged by morning this doesn't pose a problem. My wife's ticked I didn't buy one for her but I wanted to make sure this AC charger worked first. I'll be buying another one so the hammer quits complaining!
