New Metro Design
In a world where just about everything imaginable is at our disposal, the notion of inventing something that’s both original and useful would appear to be a monumental challenge. At New Metro, rather than inventors, we like to think of ourselves as 'reinventors'. We identify, analyze, conceptualize, revitalize and design conventional items into newly imagined products that benefit the contemporary lifestyles and needs of today. For us, this journey began with the Original BeaterBlade.
Original BeaterBlade Made in the USA
The Original BeaterBlade has patented 'wing-system' technology that acts like a wiper blade to continuously mix, beat, fold, and scrape ingredients from the sides and bottom of the bowl while it mixes.
Cuts Mixing Time in Half
By continuously scraping the sides of the mixing bowl, the Original BeaterBlade directs ingredients into the center of the bowl for smoother mixing plus it reduces mixing time by up to 50%.
No Need for a Spatula
Virtually eliminates batter build-up on the blades and the need to hand-scrape the mixing bowl. No need for an extra utensil, the BeaterBlade doubles as a spatula.
Proudly made in the USA, the Original BeaterBlade is designed for use with single paddle stand mixers. It is available in 3 sizes to ensure a proper fit with KitchenAid and other brands of stand mixers.

Universal Pouring Chute
Built to Last
Our pouring chutes are made of high grade surgical steel that will not bend or warp during the most rigorous use, making it a must have stand mixer accessory.
Created for Stand Mixers with Metal Bowls
Designed specifically to fit any metal mixing bowl, the pouring chute works with all stand mixer brands. However it is not recommended for use with glass bowls or bowls with a flared edge.
Easy to Use
Attach and lock the pouring chute into place with one quick motion. It doesn't get in the way of the paddle rotation and won't interfere with mixing. This is a great replacement for the bulky pour shields which are standard with most mixers.
Avoid Spills and Splashes
Easily add ingredients to your mixing bowl and keep your counters clean! The Pouring Chute directs food into the center of the bowl for better mixing and is ideal for both wet and dry ingredients.

The Original Beater Blade by New Metro Design is an electric mixer attachment which thoroughly mixes batter, eliminating the need to stop and scrape the bowl manually and is engineered for use with most KitchenAid 6qt bowl lift mixers. The new Beater Blade beats, scrapes, folds and incorporates ingredients thoroughly for fool-proof baking. The Beater Blade ingeniously improves on the functionality of standard V-shaped beaters offered with high-end stand mixers by crafting a high-quality, enhanced blade that includes a flexible rubber wing down the entire length of both sides of the blade. The durable, food-grade edging simulates the action of a powerful spatula to gently, yet thoroughly scrape the bowl clean. The wing-system design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes sides and bottom of bowl while it mixes virtually eliminating hand-scraping and batter build-up on the blade. BeaterBlade’s state-of-the-art design continuously and automatically scrapes batters during mixing, which can speed up the process by as much as 50 percent. By eliminating the need to turn off and on the mixer to scrape the bowl, Beater Blade reduces wear of the motor of the mixer, as well. Blade is intended to be used only once ingredients have been added to the bowl—not for use in a dry bowl. New Metro Design’s Beater Blade excels in a full range of mixing applications, including creaming butter, sugar and eggs to fluffy perfection, and preparing frostings and pastry creams quickly and easily. Model KA-6L fits most KitchenAid tilt head mixers regardless of the KitchenAid model numbers. KA-6L Beater fits following Mixer Models: Professional 6 & 600, Deluxe Epicurean: KD2661X, KP26M8X, KT2651X, KP26N9X. Professional 5 Plus: KV25GOX, KV25G8X, KV25HOX. This mixer is not compatible with KitchenAid mixers KSM657 and all Costco and Sams Club KitchenAid Mixers.

Also, make sure you get the right blade for your mixer. There is a website page that lists the KitchenAid mixers and which blades correspond to each. I will link it at the end (sadly Amazon removed link) but I thought it would be a snap to just list them here as well. I hope this helps!
You are supposed to match the first 3-4 digits of the model with the blade (basically, you don't need the last part of the model number that includes the color of your mixer). On my KitchenAid mixer, the model number was on the base. I can't say for sure if every model has the number there. The BeaterBlade model number is listed here under Product Details. Mine was the KA-TH.

I have been using this since February and it has been working wonderfully. I no longer have to scrape the sides of the bowl when preparing anything. 5 stars!
Update (Jan 2014):
Almost two years and this is still like new and my favorite attachment. Really impressed with how well it has held up.
The problem I have with this unit is that the tolerances for the post/driveshaft are too loose. In the provided pictures you can clearly see that the KitchenAid attachment has a hole diameter of 12.89 (12.9)mm. The New Metro blade has a diameter of 13.34mm. This variance of over 0.4mm makes the New Metro blade loose, as you can see in the video. Although I did not perform specific measurements on the locking slot the New Metro blade seemed to have far too much play there, as well. When the mixer is on the force of the motor driving the blade keeps the blade on and it seems sturdy enough, but it does make me a bit nervous to have such loose tolerances in such a strong mechanical device (my KA has the 1hp DC motor). The fact that there is no metal core, but instead the *whole* unit is hard plastic, only adds to my concerns.
That said, the fit of the actual wiper is excellent! In the last picture you can see me shining a light in the bowl - no light escapes past the wiper blade, showing how the blade makes great contact with the side of the mixing bowl. When the unit is attached and turned on the wiping action is readily apparent.
Advice For The Company:
1) Tighten up your tolerances a bit. Yes, I know that means you'll have to get new molds and that's expensive. But as I've measure the actual shaft of the KA at 12.65-12.7 this shouldn't be such a problem.
2) Consider a metal core. I know that means the price will go up a bit, but I'd rather buy a mixing blade that will still be useful in 5 years for a few extra $ than one that is cheaper and going to break in that time period.
3) You wiper blades are excellent, don't change those - even if you think it will help boost profit.
The white part is made of a plastic material. I think for professional bakers this could be an issue, but I only use my mixer once a week or so, so I don't foresee this being a problem. Besides, if this does break down the line, the price is great, I would probably buy the same item again depending on how long the first lasts.
