I've been cutting my own hair for years. Sometimes I screw up and cut it unevenly. And then it can be hard to straighten out. I've often wished I could use a level from the toolbox. Well here it is! A level for haircutting! Genius. I've used this several times for cutting my hair since I purchased it. Kinda pricey, but worth the cost because it saves non-professionals like me the time and frustration of eyeballing in the bathroom mirror and trying to cut evenly. Great product! I've been cutting my own hair for years. I got fed up with going to a salon just to have to come home and fix half of the cut anyway. My hair cascaded down my back for years, so I would just bring it forward and cut it that way. It would take me about 20-30minutes per trim. With the Creaclip, that was shaved down to nothing. Using the large clip, a trim took 5 minutes tops.

When I decided to chop my hair off recently after having some fun with hairdye and wanting to start fresh, I used the small clip and gave myself an A-line bob. While a little more difficult (though probably my fault since I didn't trim my hair short first and basically chopped off 15inches all at once.. don't do that. Cut it a few inches longer than you want it to be first), it still went fairly easily. I was pretty shocked at how easy it was to give myself the exact cut I set out to do.

What I love about this system, is that it costs the same thing that one cut/wash/blowdry/style/tip does at a cheap salon. The styles are really easy to do. Their youtube account is filled with instructive, easy to follow how-to videos for your favorite cuts. If you have a style you want that a video doesn't exist for, you can email them requesting it and they are more than happy to work on getting one filmed for their channel. The customer service is amazing. Really, the only reason I ordered from Amazon instead of directly from them was because I wanted to maintain my privacy and I am scared to order anything from anyone after Spacebags requiring my phone number and selling it off to other companies.

The clips are really decently made. They serve their purpose, are easy to use and clean, and feel fairly sturdy. The level is a little tempermental. Before you clip it into your hair, line it up even. If you try to get it level while it is in your hair when the air bubble is way off on a far side, you will be sitting there waiting for it to even out for a really long time. Other than that, I really have trouble finding anything to complain about with this.

The best way to cut your hair with this, is to straighten it first. If you have curly hair, cut it two inches longer than you need it. Wavy hair, an inch longer. Cut a little at a time if you are scared. You can always cut more once you get more comfortable with it.

This is really wonderful for people who are comfortable cutting their own hair, parents with children who need quick trims, or even just trims between salon visits. I especially love using the small clip for keeping my bangs trimmed since those grow so much faster than everything else.

Helps with straight lines

I have long thick wavy / curly hair. I've been cutting and thinning it since the pandemic using a combination of wet cut, straighten, clean up the lines. I've gotten pretty good at cutting my hair and decided to give this tool a try to help with straight, even lines. Because my hair is so thick, I had to really pull the tool through my hair. I found that my cuts weren't that far off and this helped me to make sure I have straight lines. It really helps with layering. I had some trouble seeing the bubble because it's so small but I think The more I use it, the easier and more helpful this tool will be. It's a bit pricey for plastic with a level on it but kudos for coming up with the idea! The product is not flimsy, well made and easy to use. There are a lot of video tutorials which are helpful. I recommend this product even though I think it should be a bit cheaper. 4 stars because of the cost

The product itself is made of good quality plastic, and it works. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to change the color of the guidelines for the level. I could barely see them! Easy to use, especially with a hair razor. I used it a couple of times and am relatively satisfied with the even result. That said, I don't think the haircut was the most flattering for my thin and rather flat but straight Asian hair. The layers were a little too much for my taste. A large chunk of the sides to the front sections of my hair were "sacrificed" for the layer effect. And although it kept the length of my hair, the longest layer was very thin and almost straggly looking. That said, they do look great when curled. I've used them both "U" side up and down on two different tries, while titling my head forward like in the instructional videos. I haven't tried it just clipped on the back for one length hair, so I can't comment. However, I did try another cheaper version sold on Amazon, and although the plastic is not as high quality, it works the same. In fact, I prefer it better because the guidelines for the level are black!

Overall, worth a try and not a bad deal if you're a college student like me who only ever get trims to maintain hair health and not really for styles. If you used it more than twice, you already saved yourself a good sum of money. Or get the cheaper one. Whichever floats your boat.

I've always trimmed my own ends. It took a long time to do it right. With this, it took about 10 minutes and that's mostly because I was getting used to it. It will be faster next time. It did pull my hair if I got a strand or two in the closure. Not a big deal. I found its best to comb down then clip. If you want to clip behind your head like i did for the cut i wanted, either have a friend help or I used a camera on my TV so I could see the level. Their YouTube is filled with tips. I wish I bought this year's ago!

Ich habe schon so viele Youtube-Videos über den CreaClip gesehen, dachte aber immer dass das Endergebnis mit Sicherheit zu wünschen übrig lässt. Nette Spielerei, aber tatsächlich einen Haarschnitt damit hinbekommen? Niemals. Bei meinem feinen Haar sowieso nicht. Also dachte ich ich bleibe lieber beim Frisör und gebe etwas mehr Geld aus um anschließend auch das gewünschte Ergebnis zu haben.

Dann kam es aber anders - meine Haare wurden von einer Frisörin verschnitten woraufhin ich 15cm abschneiden musste um wieder einen normalen Haarschnitt zu haben! Nachdem ich einige Monate später zum Spitzenschneiden ging (natürlich wo anders) kam ich wieder unglücklich nach Hause, die nachgeschnittenen Stufen haben mir nicht gefallen.

Also bestellte ich nun doch den CreaClip, ich dachte schlimmer kann es nicht werden, versauen kann man nix mehr und so kann ich die Länge wenigstens selbst bestimmen. Die Lieferung kam schnell, der große Plastikclip hält ganz gut in den Haaren (ich habe sehr feines, glattes Haar) aber ich muss ein bisschen aufpassen dass er nicht verrutscht. Der kleine blaue hingegen hält bombenfest in der Ponypartie.

Die Haare wurden wie empfohlen gewaschen, geföhnt und geglättet und es konnte losgehen. Den großen Clip habe ich verwendet um das gesamte Haar auf eine Länge zu bringen und die Stufen loszuwerden, Clip wie im Video eingeclipt und nach einmal tief Luft holen von einer zweiten Person ein paar Zentimeter abschneiden lassen. Ich habe mich fast nicht getraut den Clip zu lösen um das Ergebnis zu sehen, aber es war richtig gut. Der Schnitt war nahezu Kerzengerade und die zerschnippelten Stufen waren fast weg. Ich hätte nie gedacht dass es so gut funktioniert und man tatsächlich einen recht ansehnlichen Haarschnitt hinbekommt der nicht selbst geschnitten aussieht. Das Endergebnis ist natürlich nicht völlig perfekt, aber es ist sehr viel besser als davor und mit ein wenig Übung klappt das sicher noch besser.

Für den Pony verwende ich den kleinen Clip, wirklich sehr zu empfehlen man braucht nicht alle 2 Wochen zum Frisör und es kommt super raus.

Ein Frisör findet die Methode vielleicht fragwürdig, aber ich bin endlich wieder zufrieden und kann meine Haare offen lassen.
Richtig angewendet bekommt man ein super Endergebnis, und ich finde ihn perfekt um alle paar Monate die Spitzen zu schneiden damit die Haare wieder gesund nachwachsen können ohne die Angst, dass der Frisör einem zuviel abschneidet.

Alles in allem kann ich CreaClip für einen einfachen, geraden Schnitt ohne Stufen etc. (habe ich nicht ausprobiert) und einen Pony ganz klar empfehlen!

Five stars for thickness, but I'm not sure what that means ( maybe " tight"? Anyway, my hair had about 4 inches of damage on it, and it looks and feels much better now! Clip arrived early, even though I panicked when the tracker didn't move for 10 days, and contacted the seller. They were very kind and patient! Excellent customer service!
Using the actual clip- So, first run at it, I took very little off with the layering method (used small clip) it only cut the hair in the front of my face, already to the length I wanted in front( I like it long) so i sectioned off the front of my hair and used the clip again on the back to cut down the length. Then I used the over the shoulder clip and trim to make it u shaped. After the cut was in place, I went over it with thinning shears- (the clip took a lot of weight off, but my hair is stupid thick)
I've NEVER cut my own hair before, and these tools made it so simple. I wish I could have put the before picture up, but it was giving me problems- picture the hair that comes out of the end of corn! I guess, I would just reiterate what they mention, only start with a little bit, you can always take more off!
Thank you Creaclip, I don't think I'll be found in a salon for a long time!
