The ultimate set of heat resistant tweezers, to help clean out even the tiniest of spaces. This product was designed from the ground up, to do its very best to help eliminate issues associated with pad removal, during BGA desoldering. With its ultra high precision machined zirconia curved flat billed edges, this set of tweezers transforms from a something you have to worry about, to a stand alone tool the moment you load your first wick into it. Its so much easier when you don't have to think about one thing, and you are able to focus on the task at hand.

I must say that, without any exaggeration, this tool completely delivers on its promise. The key really is the combination of its two-piece design, and the curved tip made out of ceramic. This keeps the heat precisely where you need it to be, and in so doing, advantageously manipulates the thermal profile of both board and component in favor of the technician.
I've already used the tweezers according to the examples given in Justin's demonstration, as well as several other situations I frequently encounter. Even though I understand exactly how these tweezers work, it still surprises me how much easier they make doing a number of different surface mount assemblies, rework, and repair. I find myself using less time and effort in adjusting and thinking about how to perform a task, and in turn, spending less time overall accomplishing that task.
I'll hedge a tiny bit and say this isn't a one-size-fits-all type of tweezer. Though to be completely fair, it isn't designed to be that way. Even so, it's use case is exceptionally versatile, in that it can be used for a wide variety of operations, without having to switch over to another set of tweezers. Be advised that since the tips are made of ceramic, I would strongly recommend working over sufficient work space, so as to not drop the tool. That really goes for any set of precision tweezers - be kind to your tools, and they will be kind to you!
Overall, I am genuinely impressed with the tweezers, and kicking myself a bit for not having thought of the design myself. I ordered two of these, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they hold up over time, and evaluating my level of performance while using them. On a side note - Justin, if you can find a way to demo this product to electronics manufacturing companies, then do it. I have no doubt many would think the same things I do about these tweezers.
