***UPDATE*** - 3 months later:
I was very excited when I got these boots at first, as you can tell from my first review on them. However 3 months into using them in the conditions I stated in my original review, they were very dissapointing. These boots are advertised as being tough for work, but they are not. The left boot ruptured right by the toe joint, at which point the became unusable for their purpose to keep your feet dry. I was also surprised how fast the sole wore out to a smooth treadless surface on the main pressure points, which made them slippery in wet conditions. Besides, the color faded to an ugly ashy gray (was black). In conclusion, these boots are not what they are advertised, I went with the many good reviews about them. I saw some reviews about the boots not being built as they used to be, but I never owned a pair before so I decided to form my own opinion. My opinion cost me $100 for something that lasted 3 months. I feel that manufacturers should not try to increase their profit margin by reducing quality, just increase the price and keep the good quality. People who are looking for quality often do not mind paying what it's worth. These boots are not worth it.
On the hunt for muck boots that will keep me dry and warm and that have traction.
I hope up update this post once I’ve licked my wounds.
Muck boots are a fabulous line of products - extremely well made and very useful for the country lifestyle - these are a wonderful addition to the boot tray !!
